What MMORPG does the Wii have? I'd like to look it up.fabz_95
I think he's talking about MH 3 which isn't a even a MMO LOL If MH 3 is a MMO than WKC, Demon Souls, BioShock 2 can all be considered an MMORPG so he's "W R O N G" on both accounts. ROFL Sheep these days not only do they list biased opinions as facts, but completely made up ridiculous nonsense as facts.

[QUOTE="SilverChimera"][QUOTE="-The-G-Man-"] would you prefer "the two highest rated platformers ever made" instead?

He said he wouldnt accept reviews, which are opinions (they are), and "highest rated platformers" implies that you're using review scores, so no ;)

being highly rated in reviews is a fact

Rail shooters should have been under bad. Along with sd reso under ugly...and bad.

mccoyca112

On-Rail shooters should be under Bad but Rail Shooters should be under the good because they are awesome IMO.

On-Rail Shooters though are terrible.

The Good: Nintendos first party support and a handful of third party games.

The Bad: Everything else.

The Ugly: Miis

The Good: You can play the same games you've been playing since childhood with shiny new(ish), only one gen out of date graphics. Games even you're senile old grandma can play. The Bad: Games only you're senile old grandma would want to play, rubbish hardware, lame controls, endless peripherals to compensate for the terrible controls, milking old IP's until they beg pitifully to be left to die, shovelware, more shovelware, hopeless online, weak software line-up, did I mention shovelware? Of course anyone that don't think the Wii is the greatest thing since sliced bread mustn't own one /eyeroll

Also I'm pretty sure you don't own anything but a Wii so you really don't even know what a real game even looks like on an HDTV

Actually Shovel ware doesnt hurt the console as by law the Console with most sales gets the most shovelware. Problem is with Shovelware that it grows arms with people like yourself and holds a gun to your head and makes you buy and play these games when everyone else just ignores these games.

I am currently building my Wii collection and i am finding quite a few gems.

Mario Galaxy 2

Super Mario Bros Wii

Punch Out

Sin and Punishment 2

Tatsunoko vs Capcom

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus

Metroid Prime Trilogy

Red Steel 2

Muramasa: The Demon Blade

Wii Sports Resort

Tigerwoods 2011

Dead Space Extraction

House of the dead Overkill

Madworld

Trauma Team

Sky Crawlers

Im finding these to be all high quality, entertaining games and im actually proud of this collection. Soon to add a bunch of others such as Metroid other M, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Zelda and a slew of other off-beat titles that are sure to come out. The BAD and the UGLY can stay out of sight and mind, because they dont effect me, i dont buy those games.

[QUOTE="Fried_Shrimp"]

Here are the main points I can come up with...

The Bad

  • SD resolution.
  • Weak online.
  • Missing out on a lot of multiplatform games...

The Good

  • Has lots of games in genre's that you can't play on PS360 such as point & click adventure.

The Ugly

  • Tremendous amount of shovelware for the system.
  • You look like an idiot playing games.

foxhound_fox

Fixed for actual facts.

Now, even for that one "the good" point, you seem to completely ignore the existence of XBLA and PSN. All of "the good" you did post, was based almost entirely off of review scores, which are opinions and when coming into a discussion about objective points, is not really worth mentioning.

The Wii does have a large variety of games that aren't available on the 360 and PS3, but the fact it misses out on a lot of the games the 360 and PS3 get is a massive detriment that basically counters that advantage.

The best "the good" point you missed was the fact it has perfect backwards compatibility with Gamecube games. I'm quite surprised you omitted it given its one of the Wii's strongest points, making its library quite substantial.

Determining whether those games are good or not is dependent on review scores, which are opinions.

Its playable, just kind of weird. Its like patting your stomach and rubbing your head at the same time; you get confused in the heat of action and start shaking or turning the nunchuck and wiimote at the wrong time.

I tried HD games on the other consoles and they look pretty good. I don't think the Wii's the greatest thing ever and I hate it's online service(mostly the friend code system) and I don't care if it's filled with shovelware because I usually ignore it,and it's SD graphics or the lack of multiplats. I also hate how it's filled with hackers/piraters.

[QUOTE="Fried_Shrimp"] That's rarely true. Just play Resident Evil 4 or Silent Hill: Shattered Memories for proof.SilverChimera

I'd rather play Shattered Memories with a normal controller same with Resident Evil. And the motion controls for the spin attack for SMG2 was awkward. The only game I loved using motion controls for was Okami.

What. SMG was perfect with a Wii remote. What else did you want from SMG?

The spin attack on SMG2 should of been mapped to the B button much better then using the motion controls and its more responsive. The first one was fine the sequel was "Been there done that,"

It hurts the console when 99% of the Wii shelf in game shops is filth. To get any sort of decent Wii game, apart from the big Nintendo ones, I gotta go online.

Lol, no. It got AAAAE here. The first got AAAE. Combine that with the higher standards that raise each year. Gamespots opinion, as well as mine, say that the second one is the better game. You must have only played SMG2 for only a few levels because the game constantly hits you with new ideas almost level by level.

Isn't it obvious? A game could look like crap on the boxart and actually be good. So maybe the shovel-ware percentage is lower than you think. (It's obviously still high though.)

Not really, there's so many minigame compilations and cooking games and Wii Fit ripoffs and movie tie ins and Gordon Ramsey games (seriously wtf?)... Stuff that clearly sucks. I've never seen Muramasa or Cursed Mountain in a shop, for example. Had to order both online.

Not at all. The only game which i've brought from offline was NMH and the rest of my collectionMetroid Prime Trilogy, Redsteel 2, T Vs C, Madworld, Resident Evil: UC and so forth from game shops whichmy collection of games ismainly 3rd party games apart from MP Trilogy. Its just that your bad shopper and nothing more and cant be bothered to look through games. Its pretty obvious that im right when you say "99% is shovelware".

A "bad shopper"? Lol, I can't buy what isn't in the shop :P

Or could be that you havent looked hard enough for specific games"Insert bobbing tongue out". One game which i had trouble finding in any shop was the Metroid Prime Trilogy but everything else its taken me around 10 minutes.
