am i supposed to be impressed by that list? a bunch of multiplats that i can play on superior console, mario 2d scrollers that i got on dolphin emulator (even though i have wii i hate motion controller) and donky kong which i admittedly forget about. all i buy nintendo consoles for it 1st ip, get rid of that garbage tablet controller, reduce the price, releae zelda/metroid and remarke zelda/metroid classics and i will buy. simple

Man, I had my credit card ready. Too bad it's just a glitch. I would have purchased one to play Bayonetta 2 and to catch up on the Wii games I missed (mainly just Mario Galaxy 1/2 and Last Story)

I would get this just to play X(Xenoblade 2) but I doubt we have this kind of deals in the EU.

This reminds me of when Dreamcast was being sold for only $49. Not a good sign overall for Nintendo but it's Sears and they could just go out of business as soon as tomorrow!

The Dreamcast was being sold at $49 after Sega announced it was exiting the hardware market, to liquidate all existing stocks.

The Wii U is being sold at this price because one specific retailer wants to get rid of one Wii U SKU (the oldest, and probably least profitable one in the market). There is a world of a difference, probably to clear some shelf space because the retailer itself is struggling.

What? Isn't the 32GB model the more popular one? Not the 8GB model that was ridiculous and was eventually canned.

There are multiple 32 GB SKUs- one that bundles with New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U, as well as one with The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD. This specific one comes with Nintendo Land, and is understandably probably the least popular one.

There is also an 8GB SKU that is very popular, and that is one that bundles with Skylanders.

@WilliamRLBaker: why would u want to play multiplats on wiiu? Makes no sense, would be like me buying x1 to play titanfall even though I got superior version on pc. And yes I encourage pirating ninty game because they are sold at ridlicious prices and use garbage gimmicks whereas on pc they are free and I can use x360 controller to play mario galaxy. Not to mention the graphics look better on pc. Hope wiiu gets hacked soon

Ok so i went to Sears and there werent any WiiU's and the lady didnt even know what a WiiU was lmao so anyways the price wasnt $99 or anything ( could be a USA only kind of thing )

ah well no biggie i can save that $99+ tax on far more important things but i thought hey maybe i can get one and finally play my first zelda game :o

It's not worth the price for me though....I wouldn't pay that for the ps4 or xbox one either though.

Once more Nintendo first parties are released ill probably bite though.

I'm looking forward to Mario kart and smash brothers. Also anything to do with pokemon normally gets me excited.

more like how stupid of nintendo. they could have extra sales if they integrated full classic controller support in all their big games but they didnt so i didnt give them my money.

also dolphin is superior to wii in every sense of the word. better graphics, greater flexibility and free games

they dont. i cant use classic controller to play mario galaxy even the 2d scrollers like new super mario/wario i couldnt because some levels require u to shake the wii mote to pull of moves. and ninty are pulling the same shit again this gen, now i have to hold a big ass tablet in my hand to play their games, mario world doesnt even fully support pro controller because some levels have forced tacked in integration with the tablet. oh well their loss

super mario 3d world has 'partial' support, there is a level in the game where the tablet is required because u have to touch the screen to find your path or something. also seeing that list why is New Super Mario Bros. Unot compatible with the pro controller? also where is donkey kong? is that fully compatable

Donkey Kong is. The level in 3D World is optional IIRC, the Wii U Pad is no more mandatory to play the game than 3D was for 3D Land.

And New Super Mario Bros. U is compatible with Wii U Pro :| I just linked you to a list that says that it is. It doesn't support Wii Classic Controller, which is a Wii peripheral, but it fully supports Wii U Pro, which is what you want, isn't it?

i only pirate games when the devs dont cater to my needs. i used to pirate pc games but now i dont because steam provides a great way of getting all the games i need in 1 application. i even purchased the games i pirated in the past. if ninty had integrated classic controller support for all their big titles i would have purchased the games for the wii in addition to using them for dolphin because obviously dolphin is superior.

now with the wii u, if they make all their big titles 100% compatible with the pro controller and even the ui so i dont have to touch the tablet then i will buy wiiu. also they need to release some damn games, only 3/4 games interest me on the console
