[QUOTE="bobbetybob"]I think one drawback it'll have graphically and something a lot of people are forgetting is that it's gonna be using X amount of processing and graphics power to render and stream whatever's happening on the controller, the controller has no hardware of that sort in it at all, so if you have a game with a big 3D load on both screens (like Pikmin appears to) then that's going to take a toll on the main screen graphics.bonesawisready5
Don't you dare apply logic to a game running in 720p/1080p on one screena and 480p on another screen at the same time while showing 100+characters on each screen.
lol
I see your point but its not really impressive. If it was a PC only title they could have 10 000 pikmin running around shogun 2 style :) on multiple monitors with a lot more detail. That would be closer to impressive.[QUOTE="freedomfreak"]Yeah it is...Such a shame Graphically yeah, but I think it's a cool idea if they implement it well and it's not just "Don't die", just adding co-op in would make it about 10 times more interesting straight away, all starting off together and then eventually getting broken up and dying, having to find each other as new survivors. That zombie game was awful.

Its becoming harder, and harder to believe the wiiU is a next gen console.... more of an add on to the current gen, like kinect or PSmove
Motion blur and jags ggalore. But it's a luanch game though.Higher rez Pikmin screens

Tah have like 4 models for movment and take no power out the console to do? YAYYea, I find all the people saying Pikmin 3 looks bad distressing for the future of the industry. Everything else you call crap if you want but Pikmin looks really good, especially when you consider 100+ things are on screen at once.

Nothing special there. Pikmin has a lot of post-processing features like depth of field to really make the picture look great.
You don't always need high res textures and polygons to make something pretty. Developers use a lot of post processing to make images look really good. System wars calls it cutting corners, developers call it game development.
Pikmin looks nice, but none of it looks next-gen to me.
Quite frankly, I think Watch Dog was the most visually impressive game of E3 so far.
Also, Tomb Raider looks better than most of those Wii-U titles....
WiiU it is not next gen console...a bit more powerful than XBOX360 but nothing amazing.Same story with the Wii and PS2/XBOX.But the real problem with the WiiU is that the system sucks.Wii 1.5 confirmed.Pikmin looks nice, but none of it looks next-gen to me.

Graphically I was disappointed. We didn't see any "realistic" titles which really pushed the Wii U. I expected this, but then I also expected Retro's title to blow me away and they were nowhere to be seen, no Zelda teaser or anything. So I am left with stylised graphics which is hard to judge.
Zombi U looks like a late 360/PS3 game, but at launch that may not be bad, shows there is a lot of room for improvement but it goes in line with the 1.5x or 2x Xbox 360 rumours we had for a while.
Just to help everyone remember....
A few lunach tittles from this gen...

[QUOTE="me2002"]not as good as PS3/360Nuck81The trailers for WiiU Arkham City look better than PS3/360. More detail, better lighting, better character models.
No it doesnt, and theres no way you could logicaly say that by the low res videos either. The fact is the Wii U is on the same level as the PS3/360 much like the Wii was on the same level as the orignal Xbox and Gamecube. It may be a little more powerful but at the end of the day it will be delevering the same quality of visuals which is very disapointing. To think Nintendo is content with releasing hardware thats 6 years behind current tech is disturbing and i hope its not the way the industry is heading or tablets really will take over.

Your logic is flawed.
If the Wii U is 50% more powerful than 360 like people say, then it wouldn't be a Wii 1.5
It would be a Wii 10.5
LOL will all of you finally admit that WiiU is nothing more than a WiiHD tech-wise now? Jesus, they look like Wii games alright. Nothing even close to 360/ps3runbleduck
Actually, it's "360 turbo", tech-wise.
For launch games they aren't so bad, but as time goes I expect much better and it'll be way above 360 and PS3 afterwards.

No it wont, Its not like its using some radicaly diffrent architecture the hardware itself is very simlar to a xbox 360. Will they look a little better ? Yea but it will be about the same diffrence that the wii had over the xbox which is not much.

Gen refers to time frame not power. Wii U is the first system out in the next gen like it or not.

Isn't the Wii U's gpu like 2-3 times more powerful?compare it to launch 360/ps3 games, not 2012 ones.Im seriously disappointed. None of those pics look any close to 360/PS3 games :?

You're smoking crack.
Provide a game that looks noticeably better than TLoU or Beyond on wii u.I dont understand why people are so amazed by pikmin graphics.. i really find them nothing special.. if they had to come out on xbox 360 or ps3, it wouldnt even stand out graphicly. We see things like uncharted and gears of war on these consoles.. and those games looks so much better then pickmin in my opinion.
It doesnt look bad, it just looks normal i guess. Nothing special. But it is a big upgrade from wii graphics.. i'll give you that.
Also mentioning the amount of characters on screen doesnt make it impressive as they are fairly simple models.. now go look at the new hitman game and the amount of models on screen in that game.. now that's impressive!

Gen refers to power not time......that is the real point on next gen and WiiU it is not Next gen like it or not.Wii 1.5 confirmed nothing here looks better than Halo 4, Gears 3, Killzone, Uncharted, TLOU, WDogs etc.
So much for it being next gen SMH
