I'm sure that according to them PC's also can't.
They said that the PC may be able to. They just have to see if they can get PCs that cost less than $3000 to successfully emulate the Xbox One version of the game, and then they will let us know.

when you see WiiU in a sentence you know it's not good news.
Fixed!
LMAO at sheepies getting destroyed on a daily basics.
Dam son. That's cold.
yeah for real.
It is true you know. wii u is such a joke right now lol.
I love MMA, but I refuse to give a single dollar to UFC/Dana White or EA (after they bought out the exclusive NFL license). Screw both entities.
“Wii U isn't on the radar at this point in time.” != "Wii U can't handle EA Sports UFC"
I thought I was the only one that noticed that lol
Glad to see I'm not the only one who possesses basic reading skills.
EA and WiiU aren't really going to be doing business this gen. That said, its not really like EA and Wii did business last gen apart from some Tiger Woods love.
EA for a time had Wii support that actually tried early on (Medal of Honor: Heroes 2, The Simpsons, MySims, Sims 2 Castaway, Boom Blox, Dead Space Extraction; granted most of what I mentioned here was multiplatform, but it still wasn't bad support by any means). It got worse around 2010. "Unprecedented relationship" my ass.

lol, the entire dev statement in the linked Reddit thread (which you can see for yourself if you looked at it) was: "We're pushing the limits on PS4 and XB1. Wii-U isn't on the radar at this point in time." Nobody stitched together two separate, unrelated sentences to make the Wii U look bad - this was the devs entire response to a question.
If the first part is talking about "pushing the limits" then it's about hardware/graphical ability, and so the second sentence which directly follows means it's about the WIi U's hardware too, and it's not even in the same realm.
Just look at those pics. You know PS4 could do those graphics. The Wii U has not shown a single game doing anything close because it's basically last gen hardware
Devs aren't lazy. They don't have time to waste on the biggest money loser of the three and the cheapest hardware.
LOL Somebody's butthurt about the WiiU lol dang I didn't know that was possible

Most of that is pretty mediocre support besides Boom Blox and Dead Space. (I know MOH was pretty good but still a PSP port)
even if the WIi U could handle it at 1080p 60fps EA still wouldn't make it
yup this is just an excuse...
instead of saying we are lazy and dont want to make the effort to try and market it to your console and audience...
Possibly. Maybe it isn't cost effective? Do you think this game would sell well on WiiU?

If it's handled the same way as many of the Wii U ports, no. It wouldn't be cost effective, nor sell well.

Fair enough.
@YearoftheSnake5: this has nothing, zero, zilch to do with the port quality and everything to do with the low sales they receive from Nintendo fans no matter what they do. Third party has a long history of selling less on Nintendo and they treat it accordingly. The support ubisoft showed the wii u is proof. Look at AC 4. Good port, DLC supported, didn't sell.

Barely...

No, it doesn't have DLC support. I have it, and it's not there. Don't believe me? Here's a link.
Edit: And yes, it does have to do with port quality. Timing and price also play a factor. Who's going to buy a version of Mass Effect 3, Splinter Cell, Sniper Elite, and more with missing features and lacking support when the user likely has another platform that they can get a fully supported version for? Gamers aren't as stupid as some would like to believe.

Well, the Wii U can handle 1080p at 60fps. The difference is that to do so certain texture effects have to be lowered compared to, say, the PS4. The whole 'resolutiongate' has been blown way out of proportion. 1080p at 60fps isn't difficult to do. My 5 year old PC has played games in 1080p at 60fps for years, but it isn't as powerful as the hardware in the Wii U.

I wasn't trying to play the resolution card necessarily. EA was saying the Wii U couldn't handle the game, I was saying that even if it could that EA wouldn't make a port for it. And I didn't say it but my reason for that is I'm sure EA (while avoiding saying it) feels that their games get little consumer support on the Wii U and it's not worth their time and money to develop ports for it.
@nintendoboy16: Well here's the deal, it sold shit before any DLC was released anywhere. Like almost every third party game on Nintendo pre and post DLC era.

Well fair enough. And I have to agree with that. EA just doesn't care about the console, and it has nothing to do with which resolution it can achieve. It's selling too badly for them to bother. But they keep making bull sh*t excuses. I'd rather they just came out and said they don't like the console.
