CG40... Atari is right that this does not look better than what is out now... It may be technically better but it is not that noticeable.

Kids will not want to lug around a controller to play a game. I mean the thing is just way too massive to be an appealing controller.

Except it does. It doesn't outdo certain PC games, but it's a rushed tech demo and not something with years of work and a big budget.

Kids love tablets. Kids love DS and 3DS. Kids will love Wii-U especially since they don't need an external display to use it.

Microsoft? Best hardware? Did you forget the RRoD already? They made the worst hardware this gen. If I threw the 360 and the Wii at the ground, the 360 would break and managed to RRoD without power, while the Wii would strike oil and still play games.

"Real" next-gen? It started already. Oh that's right. Consoles can't hold a candle to PC graphics. Try to downplay Nintendo all you want. It won't change the fact they dominated this gen and will again next gen.

I don't think the Wii U will tank but I doubt it will have the success of the Wii. As a parent I wouldn't buy my kids this console because they would break the controller within days. I wouldn't buy the console for myself because I don't enjoy Zelda or Mario games. I hope that Nintendo raises the bar for the future consoles but I honestly think the 360 and PS3 have several more good years in them. Even after the new Xbox and Playstation come out the same year usually belongs to the predecessors. (Nes vs Snes, Snes vs Ps, Ps2 vs Ps, Xbox360 vs Ps2)

It's a Nintendo product so of course it will be met with blind hate and even if when it releases and impresses people there will still be the stubborn fanboys refusing to admit it is any good. Personally I'm looking forward to what Nintendo has up their sleeve with the Wii-U and the new controller looks rather interesting as well. Definitely open to whatever ideas Nintendo is pitching here and third parties seem to be taking to the new system quite well.kejigoto

So we should be hoping for everything to be on once console. That way they won't have to worry about competition and they don't really have to try, because if people wanna play they have to buy for that one system, so why put in time and money when they have no other options.

I can't believe what I've been reading. The tech demo is a fake? Bashing the Wii U's graphics? The only Wii U footage wase saw was the Zelda Tech Demo and oh god, it was a friggin TECH DEMO. The other we saw was Super Mario Bros Mii. But obviously people are going to bash games like that because they don't look 'realistic'.

If that demo is real, it does not change the fact that holding up the controller from the looks of it will be like holding a free weight. I imagine most people playing it rested on the ground which could lead to back problems.

Anyone who thinks this is a great design for a console marketed towards the family is not in touch with the market.

Even if it is real........i don't see anything better on this than U3,U2,God of War 3,KZ2&3 and Gears of War 3.

I could be wrong here, but didn't Nintendo run that demo at 1080p? If it can produce graphics like that at 1080p, it is much more powerful than the 360 or PS3.

They'll be shown when the console gets torn down after it releases. Nintendo never releases hardware specs, and people have to find out themselves. We know a little, such as they're going with AMD again for their GPU. They're sticking with IBM and using their top-of-the-line architecture
