lol i read that entire thing and thats old news , and 2ndly they didnt say for ever they said this year damn one year and its the end of the world ,    besides wiiu had madden 13 not to long ago anyway ,  this is probably why ea is not releasing 25 ,  they   just released 13 on wiiu  ,  why would any one buy madden 13 knowing 25 is on the way on the same coin why would any one who purchased madden 13 recently on wiiu buy another football game 8 mos later

The lack of success for madden on the nintendo consoles is EA's fault. They sold fine on the gamecube. Then they went and messed with the formula and added features and covers no one wanted. If its not profitable its their own doing. But its madden so w/e/. As a gamer I'm losing nothing.

They always impose some self-inflicted bottleneck that alienates themselves from 3rd parties, that could have very easily been subverted.

On the N64:

• they refused to adopt CD-ROM as the standard, even though it offered significantly more capabilities, along with being cheaper to produce for every party involved, and stuck with much more expensive flash cartriges.  This was done to circumvent piracy.  Nintendo platforms are the easiest and most emulated/pirated systems in existence. 
• Also, the f*cking weird controller, with the penis in the middle of it.  Seriously, noone asked for that.  That was some unneccesary shit they did just to be "different".

On the Gamecube:

• Using Mini disc
• the controller having 6 imput buttons compared to the PS2 and Xbox's 10 buttons.  Games had to be entirely reworked for the Gamecube versions.  Some games, the gamecube had an entire different version than the PS2/Xbox.

On the Wii:

• nothing more needs to be said.

On the Wii U:

• same as above.

That didn't mean they thought the Wii was a failure. 

No secret that Madden sold like arse on the Wii, not surprised by EA giving up. Too bad EA holds the nfl license, would much rather play a new nfl 2k.
