Wii VS Xbox 360

Which console is better?

The Xbox 360 is a better console, but the Wii has software I'm more fond of. Of course, part of that is due to the fact that I play most multi-plats on the PC.

The Wii has more exclusives that I like.

I thought the point of system wars is comparing systems.

I would have to give both of them a tie because each has their own games that appeal to their people ;)

The 360 is superior, but the Wii is my favorite for its first-party games.

This a thousand times. I have no interest in Kinect and Microsoft's few 360 exclusives have never really interested me.

If only Microsoft had an incredible, genre-defining 1st-party studio under their belt (they used to have Rare but...you know how that went).

Honestly if you think the Wii is better than the 360 then you're pretty much saying the Wii is better than the PS3 since they're practically the same console.vashkey

They not only have similar numbers of high scoring games, but similar numbers of exclusives and high scoring exclusives as well, with similar levels of variety.

When did I say that 1st/2nd party games are the only games you could play on a console?

All I said is that you can't say PS3 = 360 because their exclusives (among other things) establish a console's identity.

I never said that the 360 doesn't have good 1st/2nd party games...I just vastly prefer Nintendo (and to some extent, Sony's) exclusive lineup.

I don't feel that Turn 10 has the same magic as Nintendo EAD. It's just not the same.

By the way: your preference on game libraries is completely subjective. I for one would take the Wii's library over the 360's library anyday.

I prefer Nintendo IPs to most other franchises. Though strictly speaking in terms of hardware, the 360 is a better console. meetroid8

Im not a fan of any of Nintendo 1st party games but I will pick a Wii anyday over a 360 Xenoblade alonewas more than enough to make Wii my favorite console of 2011 :D.

If I could only pick one gaming platform and my choices were limited to the 360 and the Wii, I'd most likely pick the 360.

But in reality I own multiple platforms and the Wii has given me much more enjoyment than the 360. Its not even comparable.

IMO, the Wii has the best exclusives by far this generation due to superior design, but it's hard to ignore the many fantastic multiplats that it lacks.

I think I'll have to go with Wii though... Most of my top ten this gen come from Nintendo (5 nintendo, 3 multiplats, 2 Sony)

Between those two, the Wii easily.

360s exclusives are weak and I usually pick up multiplats for the PC.

The Wii just has too many good games you cant play anywhere else.

Wii of course.

The multiplats alone put the Xbox 360 miles ahead of the Wii. They got great exclusives but that doesn't make up for the amazing games they miss every year.

Well I'm no cow and I can admit that the PS3 and 360 are basically twins, but I still much prefer the PS3. Its usually only a handful of games that make or break a system for me and the PS3 just happens to have enough games that I like that the the 360 lacks.

Sure overall libraries are similar, but I'm not playing the entire library.

Xbox 360 by a landslide

I only have 2 Wii games (only one exclusive, Muramasa) and about 60 on xbox 360

Also Dark Souls, Witcher 2, Fable 1-2-3-Journey, Alan Wake, Mass Effect 1-2-3, Skyrim, Lost Odyssey etc are my top games, none of them is on Wii
