The Wii has suprised me and almost everyone else thus far, and if Nintendo keeps pumping out sequels to the 1st party titles, I think the Wii could last until 2010 at the least. :|

Is he making the foolish assumption that Nintendo will just wait until Microsoft and Sony are ready before they release the next Nintendo console? I'll bet that the Wii is the money-making trial version of a more powerful console based on motion control.

i think the main weakness of the Wii is that from a technical standpoint it was obsolete before it was even released- right now it isnt a problem- but in 2 or 3 years time it could be. If i were Nintendo id stick with what they've got but start designing a new 'Super Wii'- something with a more Advanced & more powerful CPU, more RAM & a new GPU.

if you look at the Wii its basically an overclocked Gamecube with extra RAM. the CPU is almost identical just that its overclocked- same goes for the GPU- plus theres more RAM & memory bandwidth.

Look, it makes sense for this guy to say this. If I were in his shoes I'd hope that the company beating my company silly would leave the playing field soon too.

The only problem for him is that there's no facts whatsoever to support his claim, the only thing he has is opinion pieces that sound more and more frightened.

He hopes Wii wont last just like Reebok hopes that Nike wont last. It's just wishful thinking.

We heard the same things about the 1st series of PS3 and 360 games then we heard it about the 2nd series of PS3 and 360 games.

Now you say that the 3rd series will be the key. Yet nothing points to that as fact.

Super Mario Galaxy, SSBB, and Mario Kart will carry the Wii single-handedly through 2008.

No it wont last, but it doesnt even have to last. If nintendo realeses a new console in 2010 they are still in great shape.kevy619

i disagree. i think the system has legs and will do okay, AS LONG AS they don't try to directly compete with MS and Sony, and release "boutique," offbeat games.

Indeed. It flies right over the head of people around here though!

I also heard the Chocolate boss say that Vanilla won't last... and the Frozen Yogurt guy told me that Ice Cream is kiddy, it's over for them too!
