I don't think so. Bungie does not make a new engine for every game they make. The engine they have for Reach is optimized for the 360 and probably wouldn't run on ps3. Therefore, they will milk the engine for a few more games on the 360.

Agreed. I really can't see MS letting Bungie develop for the PS3.I seriously doubt it, I'm sure MS is going to publish their next game.

Why would they have any financial reasons to do so? Even ODST is around the 3-4 million mark and there's still people arguing that it's just a $60 DLC disc (kind of an oxymoron, lol).
MS has first refusal, and why would Bungie use their resouces to learn to develop for PS3 this late in the console cycle. Next gen consoles I believe they will at least make a multiplat, that is if Sony doesn't make a stupid hard to develop console next time.
Probably not, I'm not broken up about it though.FIipMode
You're not jealous that we get to play Halo Reach while you play Killzone 2?
No, Bungie will never make a PS3 exclusive. Why would anyone want them to? Sony has enough first party developers on their side of the court to outweigh Bungie anyways. Let MS keep Bungie to themselves. They need all the help they can get. Who do they have in terms of first party devs? Lionhead? Lol:lol:.
Don't make fun of Lionhead too much because if there were no Lionhead, there would be no Media Molecule. No, Bungie will never make a PS3 exclusive. Why would anyone want them to? Lol what does class have to do with anything?bungie will NEVER make a ps3 game. bungie has class
Revolution316
yes it will be on ps3. whole reason they want out on their own is to make games on other systems. if halo went multi plat it would crush mw2 sale records. so if they make a game as big as halo again it wont be tied to one console
Probably, if MS turns down publishing it, which they probably will since it's a new IP it would be risky.
yeah but a new IP from a developer that made games that sell millions everytime. so I'm pretty sure MS has some faith in Bungie. how many outside gaming sites even know who makes the games?Probably, if MS turns down publishing it, which they probably will since it's a new IP it would be risky.

I'm sure Halo fans will flock to any new IPs made by Bungie.First Off bungie is not owned by microsoft but bungie agreed to give microsoft any say on any bungie game wether it goes multiplat or not is still up to microsoft.
Halo itself is owned buy microsoft.

Right.
Just so everyone's clear, I'm going to repeat that Microsoft has retained the right of first refusal. Bascially, MS has first dibs on publishing anything Bungie wants to make. If MS passes on it, Bungie can go to whomever they want.
MS owns the Halo IP.

exactly Personally i've loved Bungie for a long time now (since around 2002) and i think their next game will be at least PC/360I wonder if Bungie will simply make more Halo games until their "first refusal" contract with MS expires before starting on new IP's?nervmeisterhalo reach is supposed to be bungie's last halo game for now. they will then start showing the new IP they have been working on.
I am going to disagree with all the people who said that multiplat=more money. After all there is a $150 Halo Reach coming out, and including myself there are probably a few hundred more people on the Bungie site who have declared getting it to. So they could always just have some other franchise and charge out of their minds and people would buy. Not to mention how much they could still sell all three of the first Halo's for.
just because the halo franchise sells alot of units doesn't mean the next IP bungie puts out will do the same.I am going to disagree with all the people who said that multiplat=more money. Thats not the point though. Gears of War was a new IP, but Microsoft gave it a huge successful marketing push and it sold millions. All they have to do is repeat that with Bungies new IP and it'll sell the same.[QUOTE="KH-mixerX"]Don't make fun of Lionhead too much because if there were no Lionhead, there would be no Media Molecule. halo reach is supposed to be bungie's last halo game for now. they will then start showing the new IP they have been working on. Just like Halo 3 was supposed to be their last so they could work on new IPs. Riiiight. People still believe MS has no say in this.[QUOTE="nervmeister"]I wonder if Bungie will simply make more Halo games until their "first refusal" contract with MS expires before starting on new IP's?lawlessx
It wouldn't surprise me if they had a couple small teams trying to devlop a few IPs for other platforms aside from the 360/PC. In fact that was one of the reasons they became independent, so that they could make the kinds of games that they want without being coerced into spitting out more halo games.ULTIMATEZWARRIOthey still have a long history with microsoft had have agreed to give microsoft "first dibs" on what they develop. If microsoft then refuses to publish the game then it can pretty much on anywhere, but i doubt microsoft would refuse to support bungie.
