how amusing. People tend to forget that The Sims Franchise sold over 100million on the pc and thus beating out MANY console franchises. Then there is Half Life franchise, Warcraft franchise, Myst franchise, Warcraft franchise, Battlefield franchise, Quake franchise, Civilization franchise, Age of Empires, Total War, GTR and you know what?

The pc isn't even primarly made for gaming yet it beats out all the consoles in terms of diversity and quality of games. So how about that? I would feel very inferior right now if you are a gamer without a decent pc, because you are missing out on A LOT!

Now in the real world of top performance gaming and price, for 2007.

Tthe PC still King with the 360 trying hard and the PS3 still got game.

We shall see by late 2009 to pick a this gen. winner.

But go ahead and tout the sales of the Wii - yet many of those Wii's sold, sit next to a Real this gen. system and is used as secondary system b/c it's a cheap system good for a little party game fun now & then when non gamers are over for a visit.

It was games years before the vote earlier this month. Always has been. The recent vote was to revisit the issue and games was voted again as the determining factor.

After the generation is over.

I think you can say that the wii is winning this generation, but it hasn't won anything yet. It is winning based on how much the system is accelerating in both sales and in gaining third party support, as well as first party releases.

In terms of games, yes the 360 has more, but how can you say its winning the war with games if it is losing ground to the wii in this regard?

I think that the success of a console is far seperate from what one forum on the internet decides. Like i said before I am interested in the real world not just GS reviews, its not why i came to this forum.

Yes gamers do play games, well done. However i was under the impression system wars is a popularity contest, at least that is what i was led to believe when the PS2 won with 'teh 120 million sales.'

When it comes down to it games are a personal preference, for me the last gen was won by the Xbox because it had the games for me and my friends, but im pretty sure the general consensus is that the playstation 2 was more popular and more successful therefore it 'won.'

Games are opinion, you cannot dispute sales it proves popularity and that is why i use them to determine who 'wins.'

Planescape: Torment my favourite ever game sold like crap and wasn't very popular, it 'lost' but i still love it.
