Will Diablo 3 look 10x better now that is made for PS4 ?

Blizzard made D3 on PC so it can be played by any PC, even 15 years old, that is why the engine is basic and everything so last gen and blocky and terrible looking

But now that everyone on PS4 have a GTX680 card or better, will they upgarde the engine to look 10-100x better ?

If it underperforms it will not be because of graphics.

PC graphics are customizable so that you can play the game up to the standards of your PC. And on the highest settings Diablo 3 looks pretty good. Even though the game really sucks. I'm sure the PS4 will have to actually cut back from what the PC version did. They will have restrictions when it comes to frame rate and resolution.

Yes it will. But probably not as good as the PC version on MAX settings. Either way, It wont look as bad as Knack.

Inconsistancy

On a 15 year old PC it wont run max settings and certainly not at 60fps. On a PS4 though it will probably look nearly identical to PC on high, its not really a graphically demanding game afterall. PC has the extra options the PS4 wont have like higher resolution etc so it will always be sligthly better on PC, graphically at least.

It will be max settings on PS4/Xbone at 1080p/60fps, it's not a demanding game, it looks worse than Titan Quest from 2006

When lots of things get on screen though the framerate can drop pretty low, because D3 is poorly optimized, it only uses 1 CPU Core & get bottlenecked when heaps of particle effects & such get on screen, i wonder if Blizzard will optimize it for multi-threading on Next gen Consoles, probably not though, since they are lazy

This. But the console version will be the superior version as it won't have always on DRM, auction house or lag during single player.

Never knew of a game that turned out worse on PC while PC was the lead platform :|

Agreed, it looked great and didn't require powerful hardware. It should have run really fluently on my PC if it weren't for Blizzards crappy servers. My ping was always 120+, didn't matter if I played the game alone or with other people.

I saw the topic title and thought, no one is really this stupid are they? Clicked on thread, read the OP and *facepalmed*... then I looked at the topic creator and suddenly it all made sense.

You expect Blizzard to invest millions of dollars and man hours on a port of a game to a unproven platform?  (Consoles in this case, not the PS4 directly).

Theyll crank up the AA and AF, thats it.

It won't be 1080@ 60fps.

Diablo 3 is a highly stylized game. You could run it on a gamecube and you wouldn't notice much visual diffrence beyond sharpness.

How should it look better? It's a port, tailored to consoles. 

You can max out D3 in a 9800gt... the PS4 version will be identical to the PC versions.

No because they need to put it on X360 and PS3, so console will be holding back console this time.
