Will Halo 4 Fail? Failo 4?

I was watching QFT epidsode on Gamespot, and Tom Mcshea brought up a very interesting point.

Whatever the old Halos were, they are over. This is now a new game given into the hands of an "unproven developer" with nothing on their history. This could very much mean that Halo 4 could be a Big F*ck up.

Alot of other people agree with this, yet some lemmings will say...bu bu the secretary for some other game is now on the project. what do you think SW, Discuss how Halo 4 will fail, or will it be another mediocore shooter with the only exclusive online option for lemmings who are pretty much forced to say its the best.

nah considering a lot of the core staff from the original trilogy are working on it and 343 have proven themselves to be capable when control of reach was hander over to them.

It wont fail, only silly cows want it to fail cause lets be honest they have no games this year.

I'm sure the game will do fine. The muitplayer while abit changed..still looks enjoyable and it looks like halo 4 might actually have decent writing. Don't care what any halo fan tells me;Halo Reach's storyline and writing was terrible. Bungie spent months hyping the story saying that it was meant to be very emotional or an "human story"..yet they just did what they always have done..skip character development in fear of boring the fanbase.

It could fail, but then again the same could be said of any game. Diablo 3, Infamous 2, and Forza 4 show us that nothing is set in stone.

I think it's unlikely that it will fail though. Just my gut instinct.

Aren't the people who have tested saying that it could be the best Halo yet? Not sure where I saw or heard that, but I'm thinking I remember it.

I think this might actually be the best Halo yet. Maybe the first 10 for an xbox exclusive from gamespot?

Halo reach wasn't very good and that was made by bungie. I have very low expectations for Halo 4

I am glad there is another company making Halo 4. I liked Reach, but when I play it I think to myself "Halo has become stale". I am looking forward to seeing what new blood will bring to the franchise.

Halo has lost a lot of popularity, partly because of cod. Ms is hyping the game like crazy--more than any halo game since 2. At this point if it doesn't achieve cod like sales, itis a failure in a lot of ways.Heirren

They could as well change nothing in gameplay from the code they already have from Halo 1-2-3-Reach and be fine

I dont see how you can go wrong starting with a perfect game as base and playing safe

Even the worst developer could make a stunning Halo game when he can have all the code from the previous games in his disposal

It is not like they are staring everything from scratch

And frankly 343 seems way more capable than Bangie, at least in graphics they have surpassed Halo Reach by generations visually, Halo 4 looks like a next gen game and better than all PS3 coming games combined, i dont see anything "unproven" about them really

I liked Halo CE, it wasn't amazing but it was a good game. Halo Reach got boring incredibly quickly, it was a bellow average game. This is the same problem the CoD games have, CoD4 was good and then it just got worse from there due to them not improving enough over the previous games.

I disagree I think Halo 4 will be fine because they have ex Bungie guys and they know about the franchise, though the MP seems like Space COD to me.

And the damage control for the 15.000.000 selling Halo 4 that will render anything else obsolete continues

And this is only the begining, soon this forum will be flooded with posts about how crap Halo X is and how terribly Halo 4 will fail

The desparation has reached maximum levels, i never though people would start the damage control so early

But was expected since Halo 4 will not just have the perfect gameplay, but also looks like a next gen game this time, the ultimate anihilator game, noone will even know what PS3 is after that game is out

That's a bit of a moot point, that 343 is unproven. It's not often a developer is given all the tools, the universe, the lore, the history, etc. They've got a few unusual advantages.musicalmac

Indeed, it is one of the cases where they would have to actually try hard to break the game and by the graphics they have pulled out, i dount they are that bad of a developer, in fact lately i have come to think they are one of the best around
