8800 gt 512 mb

1 gb ram

amd x2 4200 2.2 ghz

what else could i play with these.

definitely bioshock, and a lot of new games. Although the ram might give you some trouble

Not unless he's on Vista. UE3 games use texture streaming, they aren't very demanding at all when it comes to RAM.

He should actually be able to max it out with ease if he's on Windows XP..

if you have vista you will need more ram, if you dont then 1gb of ram is a little iffy on high but on medium you will get a rock solid frame rate

You will be fine..

8800GT is about as powerful as the GTX. The 1GB will be fine for XP, for Vista even if the 1GB would cut it, you really should get 2GB anyway..
