Will Killzone 2 Live upto it's hype?

While we all know the first killzone coined the term "halo killer". Though the first not as successful as planned to be the sequel looks extremely promising. The thing is though, Is all this hype from the very first E3 2005 going to live upto it's expectations or is it going to be another bust. Do or Die, SW tell us what you think.

For me I think it's going to succeed though not as much as people think. But I think for everyone who wants to buy the game regardless, I'd say give it a try because today at gamestop they are giving out, promo codes to the demo

but the only sure fire way to know is to wait till late febuary to find out.

I believe it will live up to all reasonable hype and expectations based on what actually is and will be - a fun and amazing looking shooter with a strong competitive multiplayer .... and a must play for any ps3 owner or soon to be owner who generally likes shooters/action games. There really isn't much more to it than that. Some will like it more than others like any game.

I wouldn't get too caught up with the extreme fanboy hype , the extreme fanboy hate and doubt , teh Halo killings from both sides , or whatever scores the media outlets decide to slap on it. Rise above all of that mess , those won't affect the game itself.

this game will likely flop even it will still be a decent game.

i dont know if it can....the 1st game was hyped massively as the "Halo" killer and that damn sure didnt even happen! didnt even come close!, this 1 is being hyped even more and i probably will buy it....but will it live up to the massive hype, probably not

if the beta was an indication of the final game KZ2 has a very good chance to live up my hype :) my guess is it will receive mixed reviews with most of them being positive (very positive).. i guess here at GS it will get a 9/10 score or if the reviewer is in a really good mood a 9.5/10 :)

for now i'll wait till i get to play the game & spend some hours online and afterward judge whether it has indeed met my expectations..

GS will give K2 a 9 or above but since PS3 owners do not support PS3 exclusives, the sales may not look to good.

why people state its gameplay is average or that devs are not giving it the proper attention... guess you didnt have the chance to try the beta... Gameplay is fine and considering the positive feedback from the media the sp campaign will be even better since the 1st person cover systems works really well...

just stop criticising KZ2's gameplay specially if you havent even had the chance to try the beta.... like all other games KZ2 won't be perfect but looks like GG managed to combine solid gameplay with amazing visuals this time which can only be good news to PS3 owners who like shooters..
