Will Metroid: Other M be better than the Prime series?

I can't wait for Metroid: Other M. I'm not making any decisions until I play it. Maybe they will be so different that you can't compare them.

Granted it does look very impressive and it has the serious tone needed for a Metroid game. One thing that caught me off-guard was the "Motherbrain ending sequence from Super Metroid" that they showed off in the trailer, AWESOME indeed.

Will it beat Metroid Prime? Possibly the third one but few to none games can beat echoes and the original Prime installment. One thing I find lacking is the much less focus on exploration and atmosphere which made me fall in love with Metroid in the beginning. All this I think is a result of Nintendo pushing the franchise into a more mainstream appealing serie, which of course I don't like at all.

No Metoid game will ever be as good as Metroid Prime. That is honestly one of my favorite games of all time.

Tough call as to whether this Metroid will be a great game or not, but I probably won't be bored out of my skull.
