[QUOTE="GamerwillzPS"][QUOTE="BibiMaghoo"] Er, no. I have my laptop for strategy games, and my PS3 for everything else. My laptop runs things like Civ V and DOW on highest settings, and I plug it into my TV with HDMI. I have no need at all for a beastly rig. BibiMaghoo
Ok, that's cool.
It's my opinion that a PC is better for everything when you are at home because you have a good big monitor or HDTV, proper keyboard and mouse, a desk where you rest your arms on and a good chair. It's more comfortable using a PC.
A laptop is only great when you are away from home.
Only games I would play on PC are strategy games, and the laptop does fine for those. I have it for general use, as I find it more comfortable that a desktop setup. I can sit with it in bed, or plug it into my TV for gaming. Moving a desktop upstairs just for browsing is a pain in the ass, so I went this route. I used to have a good desktop rig, but don't really have any need for it nowadays. My PS3 is fine for gaming, just doesn't have any good strategy games, as with all consoles. It really is a PC genre, and my laptop does it all fine. I enjoy the HoMM games on my laptop aswell. These sort of games, consoles just cannot do. I honestly prefer just to game generally on a console these days, mainly due to ease of use and not having to upgrade to play newer games. It saves me time, and time is money. I don't find the performance difference in multiplat games worth the bother, but occasionally I cry about it, like the gimped console BF3 lol. All in all though, I'm happy with what I have. I don't need some beastly rig to fraps my setup and boast about it. Life is to short.Ok, but I feel I should point out about your comment of moving your PC upstairs for browsing - That's just silly. Just leave the PC upstairs and go there when you want to use it. You have your legs for a reason, use them and go upstairs. :P
PCs are not designed to be moved constantly.
