[QUOTE="MBirdy88"]And yet it still sells incredibly well and leads in attachment.YoshiYogurtCan multiplats sell a system alone? I don't think so.
So which is it then moron? Either multiplats sells the system or the system has games besides multiplats. Since it has the highest attach rate and won last year in worldwide sales your entire argument is flawed by your first two posts.
Nothing to see here people...
Well I just realised i'll be playing Halo 4, Forza Horizon, Crysis 3, Splinter Cell Blacklist and Darksiders 2 just for starters by the end of this year.
There are way too many great games for me to worry about whats exclusive or not. I'll leave that to The companies and fanboys.
I just haven't cared whether or not someone else gets to enjoy the games i'm playing for a really long time. I don't see why gamers need to worry about that.
MS don't give a s**t, they're the ones that encourage Xbox/PC release. I guess they see the different markets better.
If I argued about the importance of exclusives outside, i'd get laughed at, people would be like 'who cares, what are you 12?'.
And yet it was outsold last year WW. Your logic fails. The PS3 had 6 years and yet still couldn't pass it even with the massive market share they had the previous 2 gens. Stop making excused for the PS3 sitting in 3rd place. This discussion is not about which place any of the consoles are in.Microsoft will fall. And let's face facts here, the PS3 was released much later than the 360 in the US and even later in Europe. If the PS3 was sold a year earlier it would have sold alot more obviously, and the Xbox would have been 3rd place as both consoles aren't very far behind now.

PS3 offers more than enough exclusives to justify the purchase, the Wii offers more than enough exclusives to jusitfy the purchase, the 360 sadly does not.
Most people who onw a 360 only do so because they could not afford a PS3 or their parents could not, so they have to make the best with what they got stuck with. They don't prefer 360, they never had a choice.
I can gurantee you that if you offered every 360 only owner out ther the chance to switch to PS3 for free, with all of their saves and multiplats going over, the majority of them would take that deal. It's the truth and we all know it.
Next gen will be interesting, consumers will either be more wiser and MS will have to offer more, or they will be dumb enough and just buy on impulse and not think about the long term.
For me its PS4 and Wii U next gen, don't care about Xbox at all. The 360 does have a great libarary of games though, it's just 1st party where it sucks in. No point in buying a 360 if you already have a PS3 unless you are a hardcore Halo or Kinect fan.
Most people who have a 360 only do so because they could not afford a PS3, or their parents couldn't. Most 360 owners also had a PS2 last gen, but they got stuck with 360 this time and have to make the best of it, they don't really "prefer" 360, they never got a choice. It's the truth and everyone knows it. I honestly do not see any reason to buy a new 360 unless you are either a huge Halo fan or you love Kinect. If you don't have a good PC then maybe the 360 offers a bit more, but even then that kind of stretches it.
Next gen gamers will be more smarter, and MS will have to offer more to draw them in. No one buys a system for multiplats, no one really wants to pay for XBL they only do it because they have no choice, MS is out of touch with the consumer base. How long can people keep wanting Halo anyway? They keep making a new one like every year now, and most Halo players leave it and jump over to COD when it comes out, so you can't whine about COD milkage if MS is doing the same thing with Halo.
360 has a good library of games, no doubt about it. But it's 1st party line up offers litte reason to buy one unless if you REALLY want Halo or Gears or Kinect. Halo and Gears and most 360 games are worthless if you don't have XBL, so no point in getting one in my book. I'm not anti-360, it just doesn't offer enough to justify the purchase of one.

lol I thought the cows argued the 360 cost more. Also they've been at similar prices for quite a while now.
The lines I bolded seem like assumptions, nothing more.
Also the PS3 exclusives are high in numbers but only a small portion of them are actually system sellers. There's Uncharted (I think), MGS (although that's just the one game now) and GT (maybe one or two more).
Also, a new Halo every year? So there have been like six or seven this gen?

Looks like I ruslted some Lem Jimmies. You know your right when that happens, whenver people get upset over something like that you know it's the truth.
Look here's the facts, ok. Look at what each system has to offer, I have a PS3, I can get all of the same multiplats 360 does (most of which play and look identical to the 360 versions) so what's the only difference sepreating the two? The exclusives, that's right.
Now when I have a PS3 and a Wii, both of which offer a ton of great exclusives. When I look at 360 here's what I see:
Halo
Gears
Fable
Forza
Witcher 2 (not really exclusive but I count it as such)
Left 4 Dead (have it on PC)
And uhh...Alan Wake (which I can now also get on PC)
So you see I'm really only left with only about 5 games in total. Keep in mind that I'm also not going to pay for XBL (not worth it for just a small handful of games, especially when I can get the same thing for FREE on PSN and PC), so that renders Halo, Gears, and Left 4 Dead all worthless.
So now I'm only left with a smaller list of games. That does not justify the purchase of a new 360. Overall the 360 libarary is great, but if you already own a PS3 there is very little reason to pick up a 360, it's just not worth it unless your a hardcore Halo or Kinect fan.
PS3 and Wii offer more than enough to justify getting one, even if you already own a 360.
PS3:
MGS4
Uncharted
Killzone
God of War
Star Hawk
War Hawk
Resistance
White Knight Chronicles
Heavy Rain
Demon's Souls
MAG
Yakuza
LBP
LBP Karting
PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale
Sly Cooper
Beyond Two Souls
Twisted Metal
Wii:
Mario
Mario Kart
Super Smash Bros
Zelda
F-Zero
Donkey Kong Country
Kirby
Pikmin
Poke'mon
Mad World
As you can clearly see, the PS3 and Wii offer a far more appealing reason to pick them up, even if you already own a 360 you will find more than enough exclusives on the PS3 and Wii to justify owning one.
If you already own a PS3 like I do then there is little reason to pick up a 360 at all, unless you REALLY love Halo and Kinect, and are willing to pay for XBL. If you can live without either of those things then there is no reason to even own a 360 in the first place.
It's going to make the Lems butthurt (puts on flame shield) but it's the truth and you know it. And sometimes the truth hurts. 360 is has a good library overall, but when you can already play 99% of that librayr on a PS3 then what's the point of getting a 360? Not much, unless you love Halo and Kinect of course.

It's up to the individual I guess. I just don't look at the filler games like that.
It's not quite the same as Activision having multiple devs alternately churning out a new fps every year.
Like when people say Nintendo are milking Mario, yeah they might have whore him out on a load of random games, but it's not quite the same thing as his main games.
I'm not arguing with you just really putting my perspective on the idea forwards. Like if they made an Uncharted racing game, I wouldn't count that really. If other people want that's cool I guess.

Anyway, the 360 is doing fine with its "no games". In the real world, the 360 has plenty of games. Besides, if the 360 is doing better than its competitors with "no games" that says more about the competitors than the 360.
PAL360
Already out: Trials Evolution, Minecraft, The Witcher 2, Fez, Spelunky, Sine Mora and Akai Katana.
Coming soon: Deadlight, Dust Elysian Tail, Happy Wars, Forza Horizon, etc.
Not counting 360/PS3 multiplats, obviously.
Minecraft and the Witcher 2 are both inferior PC ports. The rest are fair game however, but none of them interest me. The 360 does well with XBLA, but everything is too expensive and never goes on sale.[QUOTE="PAL360"][QUOTE="YoshiYogurt"] Show me all these "plenty of games." I posted 360 games and answered your question.
[QUOTE="Heil68"][QUOTE="Stevo_the_gamer"]No games topic #209876. Nothing to see here people.Stevo_the_gamerYea, we need more useless pie charts and people with underwear on their head. :P Unequivocally, pie charts are at times a requisite due to the incompetent requiring clear hand-holding directionality. What does that better than a clear graph? I see you point and it's an interesting take on the situation at hand, I have traced this question back to the computer game. Computer games are a fun medium and provide the means for an individual to become computer literate through the engagement of spatial learning and cognitive processing abilities. Since such games are marketed almost exclusively to males, females have a distinct disadvantage. Males are more computer literate through the playing of computer games, and are provided with an easy lead-in to more advanced utilization of computers such as programming. Females tend to be turned off due to the male stereotypes and marketing associated with games and thus begins the gender gap.
[QUOTE="ShadowMoses900"]Aren't you tired of making an ass out of yourself? Didn't you already get owned with this "360 has no exclusives" stuff already? Don't you know the 360 has more games than the PS3? No I guess you don't, that's why you keep posting more nonsense every day. No "real" gamer is as narrow minded as cows, who claim to be hardcare gamers, on here and only have a PS3. "Real" gamers own all the systems unless of course you're a dumb@ssPS3 offers more than enough exclusives to justify the purchase, the Wii offers more than enough exclusives to jusitfy the purchase, the 360 sadly does not.
No point in buying a 360 if you already have a PS3 unless you are a hardcore Halo or Kinect fan.

or your poor and trying to justify your purchase by saying the other systems are crap because you don't want to admit you may have made a mistake...

[QUOTE="Pug-Nasty"]
Windows is essentially the same OS with each iteration, and comes with the same problems. They need a complete overhaul of the code to get rid of these problems, but they don't do it because it would damage compatibility with previous OS's, current programs, and would make a lot of current users think twice about another Windows based system since they would have to buy all new software anyway.
I didn't say OSX. That is already a viable option for consumers. Linux isn't viable because it is open source and thus is not a consistent product, if one can even call it a product as it is.
A new software developer needs to come into play, whose arrival would preferably bring a new set of standards that would allow compatibility between multiple operating systems. Consumers always win when there are options, and the options right now are sorely lacking.

I'm curious. What are some examples of these problems?
Programs freezing and malware. These are the main issues I have. I also have issues with Windows update, as in I deselect all the updates but they still install. It's kind of annoying.
Windows 7is much better with the programs freezing, though, as you usually still maintain control over the PC and it's just the one program that freezes.
