Will Nioh remain PS4 exclusive?

PC is the staple of gaming. It will come don't listen to the stupid cows who are on these forums rather than playing their games with crappy framerates.

I've heard nothing about Sony having exclusivity over the publishing rights themselves. A publisher in their own right would have to be mad to sign off the rights of a game they ages developing over like that (especially as Nioh is a niche release and a PS4 version was basically guaranteed anyway).

Though, that said Koei Tecmo does release their PC ports in Japan as well. But I still highly doubt this is anything but timed exclusivity. In fact, we have absolutely zero confirmation that the current exclusivity is even a deal at all.

@jasonofa36: Yeah, that's what i'm saying. Nintendo published NG3 worldwide and KT in Japan, just like Nioh with Sony.

It didn't stop them from publishing it themselves ww for the ps360 months later.

I have a post above you with all the ms, sony and ninty published games that didn't stay exclusives. None of them do.

Publishing simply allows the IP owner to not worry about marketing and distribution costs.

If a console manufacturer wants 100% exclusivity, they gotta buy the full game from the owner, if they're willing to sell, like Bayonetta 2 individually from SEGA. Otherwise, you get timed exclusivity.

It seems just owning a PS4 is enough for some of the dolts on here to decide you're a cow. I just think if you're into games and you want to play all the best ones you need more than one system. It's not expensive to buy a console or two and makes more sense to me than just whining endlessly that this or that game isn't on your system. It seems to nearly always be PC gamers that do it too, something I can't identify with it at all after many years of being a PC gamer.

I'm in complete agreement. I believe owning more than 1 system is the only way to game. Get the best of all worlds and with how cheap these consoles are now, I just don't see why anyone wouldn't want one.

Example a real manticore take no side between PS4 and xbox one in most scenarios,a lemming who own several devices will be constantly defending the xbox and fighting sony,a cow who own several devices will constantly defend Sony and fighting MS.

Might not see Nioh, but most def a multiplat will copy the dark souls/demon souls formula like Nioh did and give you the same experience. I bet these games will be in abundance and every publisher will be cashing in just like the ealy days of the first person shooter craze.

To be honest, I've always thought the main reasons to purchase a console was ease of use, no patches required, no need to install the game like on a pc, and imo it was a good trade off for lower fps, and lower average visual quality. I was willing to make that tradeoff until suddenly consoles required patches, installation, and essentially 80% of the BS i put up with on PC.

So yeah, the ONLY reason I'd ever buy a console is if enough exclusives piled up on it that I HAVE to play.

It has zero to do with cost. If one can afford to be a PC master race elitist and keep upgrading any decent sort of gaming rig, chances are they can afford whatever console is the flavor of the next 2 or 3 years. It just takes a good number of exceptional exclusives to get most of us to go back to low fps.

I'm not bashing anyone who games at 30 fps and enjoys it, to be honest, before I made the jump over to PC during the PS1 era, I never ever felt that the 25-30 fps mark was jittery, but once you get accustomed to 60 FPS plus all the time, it's very very hard to tolerate the lower fps again.

Of course, games that do not require super twitch reactions, or are topdown, isometric view etc, are perfectly fine at 30 fps.
