http://www.ign.com/articles/2009/10/22/fifa-10-review-4 It's always disappointing to learn that a beloved platform is receiving a weak version of a great game. I'm sad to report that this is the case with the PC version of FIFA 10. It's by no means a "bad game" but it feels behind the curve when compared to the stellar Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. I understand that developers need to allocate resources according to sales numbers, but FIFA 10 could have done a much better job of putting solid PC specs to good use. For starters, almost none of the gameplay additions that made the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions so great make their way over to the PC iteration. You won't see those angelic physical interactions between players and the on-rails moments that used to plague FIFA efforts is back with a vengeance. Likewise for the eight-directional movement that makes the game feel like it's from a different generation. The system (an Intel Core 2 Quad CPU at 2.4 Ghz, 4 Gigs of RAM and dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 275s in SLI) I used to review FIFA 10 could have easily handled the physics used in the console versions, yet no effort was made to leverage the hardware. Other, smaller annoyances also hurt the experience. When using an Xbox 360 controller the game has some strange default control choices and also labels the buttons on the controller as if it was a generic peripheral. This is an issue I've seen in PC sports games before and it's one that I hope developers fix in a hurry. I also found slight control inaccuracies when maneuvering the analog sticks on the pad. Occasionally passes would be off by several degrees and nothing felt quite as accurate as on the Xbox 360 or PS3. Be A Pro on PC also suffers from some odd artificial intelligence (AI) quirks that should've been ironed out. For whatever reason the CPU-controlled players keep the ball on one side of the field far too often, delivering short passes to one another like they're in someone's backyard. I also had a problem with the "roadie run" camera that kicks in when you sprint towards the goal. All too often I'd streak up the sideline to deliver a cross, only to have my view completely restricted by the unsteady viewpoint.

http://www.ign.com/articles/2010/10/22/fifa-11-review The bigger downfall of the PC version is the slightly limited feature set. While everything works just fine and the online performs very well, its list of modes is pulled from last year's FIFA on consoles. You get Manager Mode, Tournament Mode, Virtual Pro where you can create your player and stick him on your favorite team and then develop his skills, and Be A Pro to go along with standard online gameplay (for background info on all of these modes, read our full Xbox 360 review. Pro Club Championship is here and accounted for and allows for the same five-on-five (consoles allows for full 11-on-11) that you'll find in Online Team Play. LAN support is also included, which will likely make FIFA PC tournament players happy. The Verdict The list of modes might not be as lengthy or as innovative as whats seen on consoles, but theres no question that theres a lot of fun to be had with the traditional Manager Mode and Be A Pro: Seasons. Just dont expect them to deviate all that much from what you remember from last years console game. But hey, at least PC gamers will now be able to enjoy the same game engine as the rest of the next-gen FIFA world. Its a huge improvement over the last few years of PC offerings, but it still isnt quite up to par with the big boys of the FIFA world

Never counted NHL 09 nor FIFA 10 and FIFA 11 for PC is the exact same game as FIFA 10 on consoles and that one was counted.

So the current standings are:

PC =  387

360 = 382

PS3 = 310

I agree, PC is overrated when it comes to games unless you like broken, buggy eastern european games or a ton of pretty mediocre indie titles.

Wow, what's up with those half-assed sport games ports on the PC?

Going by it, seems there's very little demand for them on the PC, so why even bother releasing these stripped down versions?

Why would you include FIFA 11 for PC if all it is, is a one year old version of a console game? Videogames are reviewed against the standards of the games at time of release, and a game reviewed in the present is held to higher standards than a game reviewed in the past. And FIFA 2008 PC? http://www.1up.com/reviews/fifa-08 "In an industry where evolution is key, it's hard to believe that a relic from yesteryear can look as good as today's version of the same game. But in a side-by-side comparison, EA's antiquated FIFA Soccer 2002 looks more colorful, more distinct, and almost as detailed as FIFA 08. The PC version of 08 is strikingly similar to the version PlayStation 2 cheapskates will see on their budget-bin machines this year. Meanwhile, new-gen console owners once again get to play FIFA in all its high-res, highly animated glory. Serves us right for dropping all that coin on monster desktops, huh? " FIFA 09 http://www.videogamer.com/pc/fifa_09/review.html Sadly there's no 10 vs 10 online play in the Be a Pro mode and the new tactical options seen in the 360/PS3 versions are nowhere to be seen. Still, there's enough here to keep football fans happy for a long time, and even longer if they have friends. All good stuff, but it's on the pitch that FIFA is really judged, and this year EA Sports has taken a very different approach. Spiderman: Web of Shadows http://gamingtrend.com/game_reviews/spider-man-web-of-shadows-review-3/ "Unfortunately these pleasant graphics come at a very heavy price. My custom-built gaming rig, which laughs at Crysis and physically *yawned* when I installed Far Cry 2, almost choked on this game. Frame rates dipped into single digit territory at times. Turning off V-Sync helped a bit, but this resulted in constantly flickering sidewalks. It is obvious that Web of Shadows is a poorly implemented console port, because the game runs much better on the 360 and PS3." Aces of Galaxy: http://www.ign.com/articles/2008/07/09/aces-of-the-galaxy-review There are two major issues with the PC version of Aces of the Galaxy. First, it costs twice as much as it's Xbox Live Arcade counterpart, so take that into account if you're considering purchasing it. Also, the PC version does not include co-op multiplayer, which is really too bad. So, if you're comparing versions, the XBLA title is definitely the one to choose. UEFA Euro 2008: Never been reviewed for PC by any publication whatsoever.. Basically a PS2 port again. http://us.euro2008game.ea.com/page/dynpid/8638/ SOnic & Sega All Star Racing: Missing Online Multiplayer

Just play your AAA games , like Battlefield 4 on pathetic 720p and let hermits have slightly less AAA games for current gen but on higher quality ,  because if we count total AAAs of all time ... oh boy. Lets not because consolites will get powned instantly.

Look at that pathetic pc list.  All are multiplats, and the rest are real time strategy, poor pc gamers.  All that money for nothing.

kingoflife9

PC has 3x more exclusives than 360 and ps3.

How do you figure "all are multiplats"?

Its a huge improvement over the last few years of PC offerings, but it still isnt quite up to par with the big boys of the FIFA worldglez13

Never counted NHL 09 nor FIFA 10 and FIFA 11 for PC is the exact same game as FIFA 10 on consoles and that one was counted.

So the current standings are:

PC =  387

360 = 382

PS3 = 310

Hermits are the elite race of System Wars!!!111 cool.gif

I got him to erase FIFA 11 for PC because it's inferior on PC. So thats 387. I then continued to post more games that are inferior and not the same version as the console versions, he just hasn't responded. But going by his original criteria when he erased FIFA 11, he would also erase the other games I already listed. Enjoy 2nd place Janka :lol:

You don't get to do the game reviews.  Especially not from someone who has said bf3 and farcry3 are better on consoles.

So the current standings are:

PC = 388

360 = 382

PS3 = 302

This isnt Janka spot either, you dont get to decide that unreviewed PC games get the same score as console versions when they are in fact inferior versions :D Enjoy 2nd place scrub :lol:

Please stop this phantom game arguement. It won't fly. Those games are official aaa/aa releases and exist 100% on PC.
