I have been a casual gamer ever since my original xbox died in 2004. Since then, I have bought a xbox 360 but I rarely play on it. I just don't think video games are as fun/realistic as they should be. For example, the E3 2005 trailer for Motorstorm and Killzone 2, for the PS3 was just CGI by RealtimeUK. For me, watching a target render, that is so mind blowing, and realizing that the game isn't as good, is a major disappointment for me. For this reason, I havn't played (continually) much video games for years. But enough for my ranting. Completely possible with today's high end computer hardware. However, we're not going to see it anytime soon because few developers are willing to put that much effort into a PC title or version of their game. They also realize that even if they did only a small percentage of that market would be able to utilize all that extra work. Even games like BF3 which were meant for PC were cut down in the final version in favor of consoles, visually anyway.

The rule is here to fight off many low level trolls and alts that create pointless "troll" topics,but if you're new here with intention to contribute something like a decent discussion,then yeah,the rule must suck.I still support it though,without it,this place would be even worse than it already is :P

You are kidding right? Current PCs barely have a fraction of the power needed to render some of those trailers. Possibly minus the kz2 trailer, we are still many years a way before a gaming PC could render something like what is in those trailers in real time.
