Will resistance 2 live up too the hype???

I have a question about R2, We all know the game by most people is being hyped AAA, a tiny amount of people AAAA

But will it live up to the hype??? The original game got a 8.6 but can R2 pull off a 9.0

Personally I don't think so, It will be a good game but Gears 2 will blow it out of the water and R2 will receive a 7.5-8.5

do any of you agree with me that this game is over hyped????

im gonna hype it and killzone 2 AA. LBP AAA. i really enjoyed the first resistance. but this time around they seem way too focused on the multiplayer aspects of the game. i like my multiplayer but no game should be completely focused on it.

edit: although i like multiplayer campaign modes. and i believe they're promising 4 player online co-op. could only be 2 but either way in that case i have no problem with multiplayer. actually thats one of the reason i baught the first resistance. i think it was the only game out at the time i could play offline multiplayer with my gf

No, and in the famous words of SW fanboys, it will flop, meaning i won't achieve the score it was hyped, no way is it getting a 9.5 its at most getting a 9. I beieve it will be a good game, way better then the previous pile of poo, but it won't be amazing and it won't be a big jump in terms of quialty. It wil be a big jump in players in a room and the features the game offers, but the graphics aren't much better and the gameplay is still the same (which i didn't like alot.) But all in all, i will be renting r2 and if i like it will be buying it, i say the game will get a 8.5 just because it will be better then the first but not that much better.LibertySaint

There are a couple of things in this post that make no sense.

1. "...its at most getting a 9... way better then the previous pile of poo..." - Since when does a score of 8.6 constitute a "pile of poo"? And does a difference of 4/10 of a point actually equal "way better"?

2. "...i say the game will get a 8.5 just because it will be better then the first..." - The first game received, as I mentioned previously, a score of 8.6. If the game is better, as you think it will be, how can you say it will receive a lower score?

Well you see, any good reviewer doesn't review through a fanboys context like yourself, they'll grade it on what it is, and not if it's as good as Gears. And I do think it'll live up to the hype.lantus

Resistance 2 is going to be fantastic. Insomniac games single handedly saved the PS3. Before MGS4 and.. well MGS4, Insomniac was the only dev house pumping out quality exclusives. Millennium_King

Extreme fanboys are hyping all exclusives on their console AAAA. They are not representative of the general opinion and are best left ignored.

Anyways, based on the 1st one score and what we know of R2, i think it will score 8.5 - 9.0.

We should just wait for the official hype thread. How can it live up to its hype if no official hype has been set.

It's like someone would make a post about fable 2/GeoW2/IU/B&K and stating that they have seen alot of people hyping AAAA on all these games.

To talking about the the 8.6 for rfom and r2 getting 8.5 statment; using the new scoring method rfom would have got a 8.5 and now comparing rfom to todays games that game would be 7-7.5, so now that r2 is coming out and its better then rfom, it gets a 8.5. Does that clear it all up? Cause thats what i mean.

Agreed.

The first was a solid/good game. I expect the same from part 2 and if Insomniac does everything right, they can make it even better. I really liked the large scale battles and I am hoping for even more of that.
