My friends, in a previous thread, a years ago, it was officially declared through democratic and legitimate means, that you, the people, found your voice and declared the video game title "Star Citizen "overall graphics king on any system through popular vote. Overwhelmingly

Now that present and future history has been altered via the upcoming release of Cryteks Ryse.

With the power of 4k and pc power (which means 4k) it is actually possible to be better looking than Uncharted 4? The Order? Killzone: Shadow Fall? Can a former XboxOne exclusive tweaked for the pc be enough to be considered a pc gaming graphics god?

Probably. If the hardware is up to snuff, to max it out at 4K with a great fps I think the character models could look more convincing that even UC 4

Character models don't magically grow more polygons or have better shaders, muscle simulation, better animation simply at 4k. It would look sharper on a 4k set simply due to rendering at native 4k that's it. If you only have 1080p monitors or TVs I suggest you either get a 4k screen or you can forget about enjoy the extra sharpness. Yeah that's an extra $3000 investment for a decent sized monitor son.

This is a fact if all the game gets is a increase in resolution and some other effects i don't think it will beat Uncharted 4,unless the characters are injected more polygons and better anymation is done i don't see those change magically on PC just because it run on more powerful hardware.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Crytek made Cinebox for films not games. Go and watch GDC 2011 videos. It's still not out of beta or available to all companies and yes, it has been used in some films as the article mentioned. The only technology of its kind there is. Sorry, Sony has nothing to counter it and you won't see anything like that on consoles. UC4 has or will have nothing on it, period.

And yes, I know CGI used in movies are way different from the one used in realtime or games, doesn't mean companies won't try to reserach on different techniques or solutions to faster production times.

resolution is literally the ONLY thing pcs are beating consoles at tho, so of course they are going to continue to spout about it. consoles are crushing the pc in the aspects of graphics tech that really matter. lighting, shading, modeling, general asset quality, animation etc.

There are probably several PC games from 3-4 years ago that look better than Uncharted 4 will. It's being made on a closed platform with limited hardware that can barely achieve 1080p60.

Geez, Metro LL really didn't age that well compared to the new gen games especially models, lighting, shaders and particles. Hermits think they are graphics kings but really know jack shit about the quality of graphics at all lol, so hilarious.

The main point behind a "4k" machine is needing a beastly gpu with plenty of vram to handle that resolution. If you go the AMD route, the cost is around 1k.

Love the TLOU Bullshots and passing UC4 "in engine" trailer as the final products. Problem is that the "in engine" term that they used suggests a tech demo like, pre calculated scene. While yes the hardware was used, it does not reflect the final product in which that in game will not look like the trailer. Like all tech demos.... Almost all ND promotions of their finial retail games do not supply the visual quality shown before.

It appears ultimately Ryse has triumphed and won by a landslide. Since these competitive gaming forums tend to mostly be populated by gangster PlayStation peoples it's fair to say Inside every Sony, a is master race trying to get out. Anonymity is a wonderful thing my friends.

I'd say the difference looks about right. Remember this is PS4 not PS3.

Thatt ss is photoshopped u3 doesnt looks that good it has a weird AA problem and edges look bad even on last of us. However i dont know how it works, but their engine seems to calculate details when its necessary, what i mean with that is on shooter games if you aim to take a close look to textures, they look horrible but in ND games when you aim it gets more detailed, it doesnt looks bad (better actually). I assume whats why their in game cinematics looks .

As for the question Ryse will be A LOT better on tech side (i mean you can play it 4k+ res ffs) but , i would prefer U4's style if they will go for a new theme and make it very mysterious like previous ones.

I am utterly disgusted by the ignorance some hermits are displaying here. Calling TLOU bullshots or UC3 photoshopped when they're factually taken in game, it really shows non of you even played them but pulling shit out of your hole. Photomode is every bit as real time as gameplay mode in tlou and should be 100% representative of the game's graphics.

Anyway scott when you say Ryse looks like CGI, can you provide an ingame not pre rendered cutscene shot for proof? Coz those PC screenshots posted here look anything but CGI.

@m3dude1: And just like I predicted. m3dude1 completely ignored the proof I provided why Ryse on PC trumps everything on consoles. That is called pure ownage.
