Will Starcraft 2 come to consoles?

Starcraft and Broodwar got ported to the N64. So, what reason do we have to think that Starcraft 2 will not go to consoles as well. It could do Blizzard only justice to release it on the consoles, and I'm sure they could get it to work on the controller. If not, why not just add keyboard/mouse support, all the systems have USB ports. If all else fails you have the wiimote, which can be used like a mouse.

On top of all this, imagine if they could all play together, via battlenet. I can dream, can't I?

id rather buy it for 360 then upgrade my old PC.

besides, another 360/PC game would once again leave PS3 owners out. that alone is reward enough.

Seriously, if you've ever played Starcraft you'd want to stay as far away from a console Starcraft RTS as possible. And God forbid they do PC vs Xbox 360... PC would destroy every console player like it isn't even funny. If anyone thinks the advantage PCs have in FPS is big, take that and multiply it by 100 for RTS games.

That's what I meant! The gap between PC and N64 was huge at the time. The gap between PC and lets say the Ps3 is much smaller, surely ps3 could run starcraft 2 no problem. If not then PC gamers are in trouble, because the system requirements would be unreasonable for a game of that popularity.

the requirements wont be very high, a ps3 could run it with ease, but blizz stated that they dont have any inttention on developing or porting games for consoles at this point, just google it, or check the sc2 faqs it might be there somewhere.

More money? Larger market? Not everyone has soup de nuts gaming PC's taht can keep a high framerate and look good at the same time.

I know what it is, but when you make an anology, their must be some sort of similarity/relationship. You referenced how presidents do not always follow the patterns of the ones preceeding them. Misleading thread titles, FTL. Seriously, it should be edited to something like, "Do you think StarCraft 2 will come to consoles?". And no, I hope it doesn't come to consoles as IMO, RTS's don't port well to consoles.
