I'm guessing no. MS drops franchises when they don't put up big numbers right away. The problem is they've created an environment where some types of games are not going to sell well on their platform because that audience isn't there. I believe that if they'd stop giving up on games so quickly and just plow ahead these other audiences would eventually join the party. But ya gotta be willing to accept some poor sales for a while to allow that to happen.

I don't know if I would buy a full on sequel, but I'd definitely use my Bing Rewards on a large expansion ($20 - $40). I really liked the game, and would like to continue using the character I've upgraded.
I would like to see a sequel. The Campaign was a lot of fun, all the weapons and modifiers were a blast to use. Moving about the game world was a lot of fun, wall riding, grinding and hopping off of objects. What sold me was Chaos Squad CO-OP, just over the top crazyness, especially if you had a good group it could get insane. Solid game that benefited from co-op, to bring it added value/replayability. I'll take seconds especially if it adds in campaign co-op.
I'd love to see a sequel. I purchased the Sunset Overdrive Xbox One so it was the first game on the console that I played. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought the gameplay was quite unique and the setting was fun.

R&C Nexus/ R&C Collection/ R&C All 4 one/ FUSE all sold LESS then 1 million copies( VGChartz) even tho PS3 had a bigger install base for 5 years when those games came out lol. :Sunset Overdrive sold 840,000 copies(VGChatz) in less then a year not including the digital sales which we know is growing this gen & the bundles. Bloodborne and The Witcher 3 have the same scores yet Bloodborne was one of my best experiences ever in gaming while I don't even know if I can be bothered to finish TW3 as it is quite frankly boring at times. Destiny gets slagged by reviewers and general gaming population yet I find myself enjoying to the point that I shelved the TW3 for The Taken King. Those are just a couple of examples to prove you wrong.

If you had simply stated that you thought it was a better game than would have been sufficient, but in typical system wars fashion you went with hyperbole.
It is funny how sales don't matter for Sunset Overdrive, yet you slammed Bloodborne about sales for the longest time. Bloodborne will probably end up with tripe the sales of Sunset Overdrive and scores are not even comparable.
Awesome games should get a sequel and man what a sequel it could be using SecretSauce DX12 + StormCloud = Just Wow what a gaming world it could be the second time around, nothing on any other console could even come close. Poor cows am cry. :P

Could we? Sure, Microsoft has reason enough to give the ip another go. Insomniac is a capable developer, Sunset was bundled as a new ip, and Microsoft could always use a new franchise and not a one off.

yes in the sense that Sunset Overdrive to me had a lot of room for improvement, it's actually a really cool gameplay idea that they don't completely nail for my liking. All the people dismissing a sequel potential, because "the first one sucked". Yeah Uncharted 2 and Mass Effect 2 were pretty enjoyable games in spite of the original games having asstastic gameplay.
