lol, nice English
Welcome you are.;)ÂI'm predicting 5 - 7 million. 360 didn't sell 10.4 million in one year. I think after Ff13, and MGs4 and other killer app title games drop thats when Sony will experience a big leap in games.
lemmings still believe they sold 10 mil last year lolChris-Hansen
I am pretty sure MS has sold 10 million 360s to consumers by now. Cows still believe the PS3 will sell 10 million by the end of the year when all sells have been going down since the lauch. LOL
Â
Â
Yeah, 10 million by the start of the new year sounds about right, maybe a little more.
They have some top sellers coming in September and onwards.Â

I don't think you should expect the sales to stay down when it gets releases like Killzone, Heavenly Sword, Lair, Ratchet and Clank: Future, and Uncharted, all between September and December.Â
First of all, the 360 still hasn't sold 10M yet. And what you're failing to understand is that the PS3 has still sold a little more than the 360 had by this time last year. The 360 only sold 4.5M in the US by end of 2006 you know (and around 8.8 worldwide)... and 1.1M of those were in one month. That's what the holiday season is for. None of the systems will continue selling at the same rate they are now once fall reaches.
So considering that the PS3 is doing a hell of a lot better in Japan than the 360 and still selling at a faster rate than the 360 did last year in the US & EU, the easy answer would be yes, the PS3 is likely to sell 8-10M as well. The PS3 has the strongest lineup going into the holiday season.
I think Halo 3 is likely to draw in some new fans for the 360, but the truth is that most halo fans already own a 360. Microsoft has been the one taking the major criticism for a waning demand in their product and lack of new engaging content... there are a few games that some of us may be looking forward to, but really only 2-3 heavy hitters on the system for this year. Some of the new IP's could garner a lot of attention if done well and marketed right... but the problem with a lot of xbox/360 games has always been that they build up your anticipation just to end up being quickly forgettable. Mass Effect should definitely deliver. Bioshock should at the very least be a nice distraction until Halo 3. But no other gameplay vids inspire me to want to do anything other than rent the game.
The 360 prob sold half that much , because half of those were most probably someguys 2nd or 3rd 360 because of the 3 red lightsRoushrsh
Â
I have never encountered a 360 owner outside of an internet gaming forum that had a problem with their 360...
I can tell you now, Most Halo 2 fans do not own a 360. mabey 40% of them do... the other 60% are waiting on Halo 3 to come out to buy a 360.First of all, the 360 still hasn't sold 10M yet. If ps3 really has sold more than the 360 over the same period of time i won't even argue because everyone knows that the ps2 was the better console last-gen (bu- bu but it was released a year earlier :() Imo, that will soon change though. People will soon see that the Xbox systems are getting better and better. Watch for the ps3 sales to slow down a lot.
Also, how can you say those that want FF/MGS4 don't have a ps3 already? there's no way for you to know that.

More like 80 -90%. Halo fans made up the core audience of the original xbox according to the sales numbers of any of the games for that system. And the core fans of any system are the only early adopters, period. A lot of the ppl that weren't huge fans of that one game have still been slow to adopt the new system. While nearly everyone that did love it and has been drooling to see it on next gen already owns a 360.Â

I highly doubt there's a single PS3 owner right now that DOESN'T want FF or MGS4. But it's simple to see from last gen sales that the number of console sales has not caught up to the number of fans for either of these series yet. There are a lot of ppl, particularly in Japan, that are holding off for at least one of these two games before they make the purchase. In the case of Halo, they have already sold more consoles than their fanbase for the game... the impact of its release isn't going to significantly drive sales of the console... but it will sell extremely well to the existing userbase... which is still a good thing for both Bungie and Microsoft.
And the PS3 sales are already at their slow point. The sales are more likely to pick up than slow down, but it probably won't pick up until towards the end of summer when it has a pretty hefty bunch of new releases coming down the pipeline. Plus, all the systems will likely see a surge during the summer months of June/July when the kids have been let out of school.

that really doesn't make sense. You are comparing these systems to last-gen. I'm sure there will be a MUCH bigger fanbase this time around. Maybe you wouldn't have known this because last-gen, Halo was released as a launch title, and Halo 2 was released much later. This time, the Halo game coming out is going to be hyped more than the other two. People have been waiting for a next-gen Halo.
except for halo all those games are gonna suckpatrickjw333
Â
At least 360 DOES HAVE Halo, on PS3 ALL its games will suck (see i can be a worst fanboy than you)
except for halo all those games are gonna suckpatrickjw333out of all the sperm YOU had to be the one that made it?
yay for bias! That s really fair, it s either "THE PS3 WILL PWN ALL OTHER SYSTEMS IN SALES", "the ps3 will fail by a little", "the ps3 will fail", "the ps3 will fail by a lot", or "there s no way in h311 that that piece of **** will be able to sell more than 4 million" Well, i ll try to support the PS3 despite the inequality...Setsawe will see, I personaly think it is spot on.
yeah it didwow
there's so much fanboyism in those options.
well, anyway, the 360 didn't sell 10.4 million yet.
SambaLele
will it match the 360 in sales...shipped or sold? within' the same time frame worldwide?THEKING1337Yes or No would have been good enough! This is a bad poll with bad choices to help fanboys support the 360. Â
[QUOTE="greenleaf2000"][QUOTE="MikeE21286"]Your poll options reek of fanboyismTHEKING1337
Yea.....where is the straightforward yes answer
if there was a straightforward yes answer and someone picked that, then either A) they have not seen any sales data on the ps3 and are a blind fanboy and wants the ps3 to sell. or- B)They are in huge denial and do not know that sales are going to be real bad for june-august and the ps3 might even go sub 100,000 in the U.S. for 1 of those monthsToo early to say that.
If it gets a 100 dollar price drop this fall along with a few quality games.......it could sell really well.Â
