Will the Ps3 catch up in sales with 360?

I used to be a Xbox/PS2 gamer but this gen im only suporting the 360.

I see no reason to buy the PS3 to be honest. Last gen i loved both, PS2 and Xbox because of their exclusives but every single multiplat looked far better on the xbox. This gen i prefer the 360s exclusives and it also has the best versions of most multiplats.

I give credit to MS because of that. It has an one year older tecnology and still its on the top in terms of graphics (gears2), Gameplay, (IMO it has the best controller), online, its cheapper and has 2x more games!

Well...thats just my opinion but thats the reason im supporting MS this gen.

i read something a few days ago that even though the ps3 is so expensive they still are not actually making money - its costing more to make than what it sells for. i think this gen in sales it will go wii,360,ps3.

on to ps3 vs 360 i think 360 will win (im not a fanboy i have all 3 consoles and dont kiss anyones ass)because it has so many good games, its cheaper and the online is awesome.

Well, ps3 sold more than 360 in its launch year.

Right now I would say no. The PS3 was outselling the 360 in America all year until the last 3 months (the 360 outsold the PS3 a few other months as well, but until October, the PS3 was leading the 360 in sales when it came to YTD) and in those months the 360 has now gained the lead back by around 20K. Look for the 360 to outsell the PS3 by 500K to 1 million in just America this holiday season alone.

That would mean the 360 would have outsold the PS3 by nearly 4 million by the end of 2008 since the PS3 has been on the market in America and its lead would be around 7 million in America when it comes to overall sales. Its lead in Europe is currently around 1 to 1.5 million and the PS3 is leading the 360 by about 1.5 million in Japan (the PS3 and 360 have been neck and neck in sales there since August) so by the end of this holiday, the 360 will mostly likely still have a 7 million lead in WW sales over the PS3.

The PS3 can't and won't catch up at the rate it is selling mainly because the 360's best selling days are most likely still in front of it considering the Pro and Elite still haven't hit the sweet spot for consumers to actually take notice and that would be $200 to $250. Once at least the Pro gets down to $200, which could happen as soon as next year and the Elite gets down to around $300, the 360 will start to fly off shelves. In fact I expect the 360 to sell more next year than it has any other year. Most likely we will see 360 ship numbers up around 38 to 40 million by end of 2009 if MS has a couple more price drops in 2009. It should reach to 27 or 28 million by end of 2008.
