will the PS3 pass the 360 in sales???

It is 8 million (well maybe 7.5 million) It is a year head start (360 launched in November 2005 everywhere, PS3 launched in November 2006 in NA and Japan, and around Easter in Europe) The gap has increased (I think the 360 had sold 6 million by the time the PS3 had come out, not too sure though)comeonthehoops

You can't beat a console that launched before yours if you don't aggressively cut it's price.

yes it will, cant say when, might not even be this gen but it will eventually because the 360 isnt likely to be getting supported for aslong as the PS3.

No console this gen will beat the Wii (that just sounds wrong...), and I highly doubt the PS3 can overtake the 360, the gap is widening and even if it does eventually catch up, it will be too late to matter.

You are aware that one of the best games of the gen RE4 was on the Gcube which is like an eerie deja vu with the PS3 and its supposed best game of the gen MGSIV. Back to my original point though the Gamecube was an incredible console with some truly amazing games. Remake was worth the price of admission alone.

The 360 has something like 6 million more consoles lead. Even if we use your figures then thedifference between the PS3 and the 360 is 0.23 million units per year average. It would take the PS3 26 years to catch up.

The only way the PS3 will catch up fast is if the 360 stop selling completely to start selling there next console but i think they will support the 360 for a few years after the next gen. Sony wont want MS to have to much of a lead next gen so they would have to push the PS4 as soon as the next xbox is out.

yes the ps3 has a chance with a price drop and games like gow3, ffvs13, gt5. but sony has lost america this gen the gap is too big (360=16m ps3=8m) in other regions ps3 will easili outsell 360 (europe, japan)
