I expect the PS4 to out perform some of the world's best super computers with it's Cell 2 processor. Sony should dominate this next generation as the Wii U will be exposed by it's gimmicky controls and childish games; and the Xbox 720 will fail due to the 360's faulty hardware, and expensive Live. Sony wins, big.I wonder...

:lol:
yes
there will be a noticeable graphic change just like every gen in what you see
not sure why you ask unless you wanna compare a gaming first machine to non gaming first machince
never heard a friend or anyone come in and be like throw on a PC game you got that new whatever game for PC
not even revelent in gaming in the U S sure they mess with diablo n wow but consoles is what gets the majority of gaming

This time a lot more because games will be much bigger budget.So Ps4 will have even less multiplats.I wonder...

I guarrantee sub par multiplats again if Ps4 goes with the cell.
Yes the Xbox 720 and the PS4 should be "powerhouses" compared to PS3 and Xbox 360. But it seems that they will be equal to each other. So if 3-5X the current power of PS3/Xbox 360. But until 2013 when someone does a breakdown of Xbox 720 and PS3.
Sony has stated that the PS4 will be powerful, Thus it is believed that Sony will be the last to launch. IF the Pachter is to be believed Xbox 720 won't be launched until spring 2014. MS could have the last moment to make Xbox 720 a "powerhouse" over Sony.
Yep they both should be "powerhouse" in console terms not PC or iPad terms. Tablet computers and "regular" computers are renewed faster.
True. I don't think, well I know they won't be more powerful than todays gaming PCs,but I hope they are rather powerful. I hope they do have a lot of RAM also, or more importantly, a lot of VRAM. I remember getting the 360 at launch and seeing how Perfect Dark Zero wasn't really that big of a jump in graphics. Kameo looked very good for a launch title, but nothing blew me away at first. After the first year or so, after they started get the hang of the hardware, then we started seeing what they could do with it. IT will be interesting to see what Microsoft comes up with. I say Microsoft because it seems like Sony is gonna wait, and stick with their PS3 for a while. I just hope Microsoft brings it, and has a lot of horsepower under the hood, and not just a re-tooled Kinect, and some other tidbits. Epics Sweeney said he has faith that the new consoles will be able to run his Unreal 4 engine, which looks very impressive. I'm crossing my fingers!It's already been fairly established that the generational leap won't be as prominent next gen. I just hope they add alot of RAM. Beyond that Sony and MS can surprise me.

In terms die size and power consumption, current Radeon HD 7850 can replace 1st gen NVIDIA RSX.
The leaked PS4 with AMD Liverpool APU has Radeon HD 7850 level GPU.
Anyway, AMD already on Radeon HD 8 series e.g. Radeon HD 8800M SKU is already in beta Radeon HD drivers http://www.guru3d.com/news/amd-catalyst-12x-900-june-12-unofficial-beta/ Radeon HD 8970 (Sea Islands) should be on time for Dec 2012's Radeon HD 7970GE replacement.
Hopefully, AMD is has applied Trinity's new clock mesh tech for it's GPUs.
Q1 2013's AMD Kaveri APU has Radeon HD 7750 level GPU and most likely labelled as Radeon HD 86x0G/86x0D.
The pattern seems to be
2012 --> 2013 --> 2014
76x0 (Trinity APU)
77x0 --> 86x0 (Kaveri APU)
78x0 --> 87x0 --> 96x0 (Liverpool APU)
79x0 --> 88x0 --> 97x0
____ --> 89x0 --> 98x0
_____________ --> 99x0
yes very likely... you have to have something to make people upgrade their current systems, or else whats the point. Anyways I think both sony and MS will see how the Wii U does, I dont think they are in a rush to get the systems out of the deer any time soon.
I suspect they will be powerful, but maybe not as powerful as some are hoping. There are several factors that make me think the leap from this generation to next wont be quite as big as from last gen to the current gen.
Who knows, though...they might surprise us.
They'll be more powerful, and going by Sony's words they are waiting until the next generation can really feel like the next generation graphics wise, but more then a PC? I can see games looking better for a year or two on consoles, since the hardware standard and ease in developing for them would give them more ease in juicing games up without worrying about optimization or whatever, but it won't be more powerful, its just in the way consoles work that they can pull off great graphics with lesser hardware (for a small while, at least until the GTX 990 or whatever comes out and hardware standards move up for developers to not worry about PC optimizing for the lowest common denominator as much).
