Umm.......of the 3 major console makers I think its common knowledge that Sony are actually the only ones that DID NOT go chasing the casuals this gen.Yes,they had Move but they didnt really push it that hard unlike M$ who stopped making core games and went Kinect only, and Nintendo....well I don't really understand Nintendo to be honest.Also,PS4 will be a beast.

Reguarding the Move, them not pushing it that hard wasnt because Sony "cares" about the core gamer. Sony didnt really push anything theyve done this gen very hard.
Look at all their games. Look at every exclusive theyve released this gen and sent out to die with no marketing promotion whatsoever. Look at the Vita, PSPgo, Xperia, move, their tablets, their phones, their new Walkmans, etc, hell even the original PSP, the PS3, etc.
Sony hasnt given any endeavor theyve attempted since the PSP successful proper mass market promotion. Lets not pretend that Sony doesnt wish the Move was where Kinect is right now.
But if Move had been a big hit like Kinect Sony would have still put out plenty of core games because they have the quantity of studios to do that.
Is that why Microsoft had more higher rated exclusives on Metacritic in 2012 than PS3?
Or why Journey the ONLY AA+ exclusive the PS3 had on metacritic in 2012?
Or why Journey the only PS3 exclusive in the PS3's top 60 games on Metacritic in 2012?
We can talk about what ifs all day, but at the end of the day, I can promise you Sony would trade places with Microsoft if they could. Â
