No, I'm not trolling. It's dull. The console Uncharted games worked because they had the power behind them to balance the mediocre action with a grand cinematic feel, but on the vita that cinematic feel is dampened, exposing the dull gameplay.

The Vita isn't very portable either, to be honest. I think it functions best as something you play on your couch or at a desk. It's not something you're going to whip out on a bus to play through the ride to work. At least that's my impression.

This is a big reason why I was one of the people that loved the Game Gear. Sure, in terms of portability it was terrible because of the battery requirements. But I didn't care because I only played it at home anyway. The awesome thing about the Game Gear was that I could play my video game system even when other family members were watching TV by simply plugging the Game Gear in and playing it whenever I wanted. Thanks to the Master Gear Converter I could play my Master System whenever I wanted. I thought Game Gear was a far better system than Game Boy. Because I really didn't care about portability. It's not like I ever played the thing when I went out anyway. The same thing applies to this generation of handhelds for me. I'm not the type of guy that plays video games on a bus ride. It's just a home hobby for me, and that doesn't make handheld systems any less relevant to my gaming needs.

All those GAMEPLAY sequences would have been another games major cut scene, but in Uncharted , those events/and or set pieces were its gameplay. You actually , for the most part, got to play through each sequence in ACTUAL gameplay - which containing a great variety of solid gun play/GREAT hand to hand comabt/SMOOTH platforming/and just running the F away from mass destruction/chasing someone ... And whats funny is that a game that you often praise to the heavens like Gears of War 3 , which gets hailed for "having great action or gameplay" has a non stop stream of boring and repetition shoot and cover segments, all the while having actually the same amount of total cut scene time as Uncharted too. Except that Gears could only dream of offering up the playable cinematic action that Uncharted does. p.s Uncharted 2&3 have the engaging gameplay to match. They(U2&U3) have the substance AND the style. The mass amount of gamer praise - from the real world- that gets heaped upon it doesn't lie. p.s.s Vita Uncharted (golden abyss) IS a held held game! No ? I see constant Vita hate from fanboys then see Vita fanboys go up in arms defending it. People are just idiots in general and it amazes how much this media type fights so much saying they want a *gaming company to fail* where's the logic in that ? ALot of Nintendo fans are annoyed as all hell because of the CNET review, Personally I think its great, for once there is not a DOOM AND GLOOM topic about the vita, nice to hear something good for once rather then constant bashing.
