You don't consider MP3 an FPS? I'm very curious as to how you couldn't call it such a thing? Sure it has other genre influences, but BioShock is an FPS despite it's RPG flavour right? Don't make excuses!

nah. tons of games are more about character, story, plot, and setting development than getting from point a to point b

The problem is that fps's are dependant on cutting edge graphics more than other genres, and thw wii is not at the cutting edge.

Im not saying however that there wont ever be a good fps (Metroid) but wii will never push fps boundries

According to most of the reviews already out, the art design for Metroid Prime 3 hides any graphical flaws pretty well to the point where you won't even notice them in screen shots or during gameplay. It is also proof that you do not need cutting edge technology to have a nice looking game visually and Metroid looks great as well.

The simple fact of the matter is, while the Wii will never have the graphics of the Xbox 360 or PS3, neither of the two latter systems will ever have the precision of control that the Wii enjoys (unless you use kb/m, which is an entirely different argument anyway). After playing RE4 on the Wii, it's going to be painful to go back to the analog sticks for RE5, and I imagine MP3 will create the same problem with console first person games...

Did you not read my post? I specifically said that the Wii has the better control set for FPS games compared to the Xbox 360 and PS3, which is what IGN and Gametrailers are referring to. What it does not have is anywhere near the amount of quality FPS titles that the Xbox 360 does. Until the Wii gets several more FPS games that actually take good advantage of its control scheme, I will not consider it anywhere near an equal to the Xbox 360 as far as shooters go.

I know it has no FPS. But right now it has the potential to become the best FPS system.

Lots of things have potential. The point is, the Wii's potential for shooters has not been anywhere near realized yet. Missing out on games like Resident Evil 5 and Unreal Tournament 3 isn't helping its case. Frankly, the Wii may be too underpowered to allow for ports of the shooters that would help it realize its potential.
