Will traditional consoles ever go away?

Hm ok I see. Still though, nothing beats being able to sit down in the livingroom and eat dinner while watching your roommate play something. Or sit down one evening and play PT together, passing the controller around when you get too tired of being scared. :P

@jcrame10: This is why I don't like having discussions with people like you: I make a comment in regards to a word a poster used, which was "relevant" and "mainstream", and a guy like you comes along, out of the blue, who has the reading comprehension of a kindergartner and makes wild assumptions while misunderstanding my comment, and how it relates to words the other poster used.

Now I end up having to explain, step by step, things to you when it should be quite obvious. It's highly annoying and very unrewarding.

Yes, they will be around for a while. Mobile and tablet gaming just doesn't cut it and PC gaming is still too expensive to startup for a lot of people.

Console gaming provides that happy medium for a lot of the gaming market. AAA games without needing to spend a lot of money.
