Will Xbox Series X outsell The Playstation 5 by the end of this generation

Won't even sell half of what ps5 sales.

It sure as hell will not outsell PS5 for obvious reasons. With the way most Japanese developers are skipping Xbox Series, what makes you think MS will ever outsell PS5?

Nah software sales will also be low thanks to the low install base and gamepass cannibalizing sales.

I believe they will continue to have more MAU though, which matters more to investors and publishers

@Chutebox: @Zero_epyon: I rarely look at Game Pass as I'm not a fan of it. I like buying my games to own. That said, I do see MS is losing more subscribers. I only mention software is due to MS has more OS on the PC market. MS truly sucks at getting more unit sales when it comes to hardware sales.

Xbox is already 100s of millions ahead. No chance the PS will catch up to Xbox nor Nintendo this gen. It's a bloodbath in favor of Xbox and Switch.

No! Serious question? MS screwed up huge this gen. Xbox Series X is like GameCube, but worse. As in, MS is slowly giving up by going multiplat and letting their IPs rot faster. Meanwhile, third parties like Capcom (MvC) are dropping Xbox.

For me, that DOES make me sad as I like Xbox. Leadership is a joke.

At this point the ps5 is just competing to outsell the other PlayStation consoles.

Phil Spencer has made sure that Xbox continues to fail. Now imagine if the Series consoles don't outsell the Xbox One by gens end, even more grounds (like there's not enough already) for dismissal.

Not a chance in hell that the Xbox Series X and S sell as much as one version of the PS5... why even ask? I'd say the Pro will likely sell more as well.

All I know is that competition is a good thing, and there is always room for one more. I'm hoping that since integration and consolidation are getting more and more prevalent that another big player tosses their hat in the ring next gen as well.

On top of everything else MS already threw the towel in this gen for being the sales king and shifted their views towards just getting as many people in their ecosystem on way or the other no matter where it is as long as you're subbed to Gamepass. It's probably a very good move they made.

1. a console
2. a fire stick
3. a pc
4. a smart tv

It's safe to say that it has already "outsold" PS5.

People buy consoles to play games. So of course everyone will go for a PS5 or Switch. There's nothing to play on XSX.
