$70 for an 8 hour game with no replayability? I'll wait until it's on PS Plus for free like I did with the R&C remake.

Meh! In terms of platformers, it's title should be Ratsh*t and Clunky. It baffles me how can a company after almost 30 years can't make a decent, just a decent platformer.

R&C looks pretty cool, wish I had the PS5. But I would pay full price for a game.

Not into the furry lifestyle so it's a pass from me.

Quite a few people here post while they're at work. I don't, as I work when I'm at work. But yeah, must be nice. It's not to say that there aren't people here who live in their mom's basement, or get welfare cheques....

For a video game, it is. But I wouldn't mind splurging $70 on a collectors edition though :)

An addendum for the thread... I'd be lucky to grab a PS5 before R&C releases.

For me I value quality over quantity. 10-20 hours of high quality entertainment crafted with love and care is worth more to me than some game that you can spend hundreds of hours doing the same repetitive tasks to grind for a piece of gear or a skin or whatever.

Also, I played through R&C 2016 twice to get the platinum trophy. It was only a $40 game when it launched and felt much more polished and higher quality than many full priced games were.

Ratchet and Clank hasnt been great since the PS2 days. It lost its edge and charm, and nothing convinces me this game is a return to form.

Tools of Destruction, A Crack in Time and the 2016 remake were all great.

Tools of Destruction was mediocre. Completely overshadowed by Super Mario Galaxy which came out the same year.

A Crank in time was an improvement over Tools, but something just felt missing. It was a decent time, but nothing great.

The 2016 remake was not just a bad game. But also a sign of just how far the franchise had fallen. They threw in a bunch of scenes that made no sense because they had to tie it in with the movie, and the game came across as insulting more than anything. Several scenes completely missed the mark compared to their originals and characterization was completely ruined. Gone was the selfish jerk, to slowly becoming a hero, gone is the satire on capitalism and consumerism. Even the celebrity culture stuff was nowhere near as potent in the remake.
