i wonder if there is anybody looking back at his collection and sees CoD4, WaW, MW2, and soon to be black ops and thinks to himself, damn i just bought the samegame 4 times.
Already reserved my copy at Gamestop.
I never bought Modern Warfare 2. After the bad and high criticism it got, I'm being hesitant to buy it. If I do, will be for the fun factor the game has.
I can't wait to try Treyarch's Black Ops though. I really in my heart hope they fix, if not everything that people say that made MW2 so horrible, at least a chunk to balance things a bit like Call of Duty 4. Extend the length of the Single Player Campaign, and just improve the game on every aspect if possible. Especially the MP area.
Here's hoping vehicles are 1 of the main factors of the SP and MP. *fingers crossed*
If MW2 is so frustrating with noobtubers and camping, shotgunners sprinting everywhere then why did you say its a good game? It is a horrendous example of modern warfare(no pun intended). Medal of Honor gets my vote without a doubt, i just hope the hype Black Ops has caused will pan out and then maybe i'll get it if they fix the damn aiming and insta-bullets.Modern Warfare 2 is a good game, but its frustrating as hell. Black Ops is going to capitalize on IW's mistakes i think.I can't wait for this game, the era is a perfect setting toofor my taste. What do you think? will it be another frustrating noob toob fest on multiplayer, with campers, lightweight/commandos, and dual shotguns? or will it be the best call of duty yet! i think the latter.

I doubt it. All this rumor about charging to play COD has shied me away from the franchise. I'm not a MW2 hater, but quite frankly I've got other games taking priority over Black Ops. Playing RDR right now...then after I finish with it I'll finally get around to Bioshock 2 and Fable II...by then it'll probably be Halo:Reach time, within a few weeks of Halo Reach, Fallout:New Vegas comes out, and then Fable III and Assassin's Creed:Brotherhood both come out around the same time as Black Ops. Pretty much the main problem for me is that the October-November months sport 4-5 games at least that I are ahead of Black Ops on my purchasing list.

Lets see what sell most, few haters here in SW will not change much on CoD´s success
Numbers aren't worth a puddle of piss dude. How much it sells doesn't determine its quality. Hanna Montana games and Wii shovelware sell in droves too.

I think numbers is worth a lot for developers when they make games. If CoD is so bad how come Mw2 got so good reviews everywhere then? Just face it dude, CoD is here to stay...top on the hill as FPS king :P

lol, nobody's coming back with anything because it's true. MW2 got great reviews across the board and it's nowhere near as bad as this place makes it out to be. sure, it's got it's issues and is a slight step back from the original but it's still an extremely enjoyable multiplayer experience and again, is not nearly the terrible game that SW makes it out to be.
as far as the topic goes, i will not be buying black ops on day 1. i'll wait for it to go on sale around christmas time.
If CoD is so bad how come Mw2 got so good reviews everywhere then? aroxx_abHype plain and simple. GTA IV is the best game of this generation by your logic.

I'd say there's a good handful that were hype but yes most were honest reviews of the game.[QUOTE="Aural_Assault"]

Numbers do have a lot to do with development. That was my point. There are so many Hanna Montana games and Wii shovelware because they sell a ton. But that doesn't make them good. Yeah, CoD is here to stay just like Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero, right? Those didn't oversaturate themselves to the point of banality... FPS king? CoD is to FPSs as Twilight is to vampire flicks.
I definitely plan to get Black Ops on day one. I would certainly hope that Treyarch doesn't make the same MP mistakes as Infinity Ward. I'm interested to see the storyline, as the Cold War was one of the most fascinating and influential periods in our nation's history.
