Poll Will you still be buying a Wii U before end of life cycle? (71 votes)

Yes, I will buy a Wii U within the next 2 years, it has the games I want OR I am Nintendo fan waiting for X game or price drop. 17%
No I see no reason to buy a Wii U as it doesn't have the games I want OR I am Ex-Nintendo fan who is tired of Backwards behavior. 23%
Already Have One OR I have one already being delivered. 61%

The WiiU is pretty much dead no one denies this other than those who use 'around th bush" exceuses that have nothing to do with overall health of the platform.

However, will you still be buying a ii U at some point before the sucessor is released or will you never buy a Wii U and it really isn't the console for you with nothing appealing about it and would prefer A Xbox One and/or PS4 and/or PC instead?

Remember, if it doesn't interest you now all the biggest cards have already been played, there's a Zelda on the line and a few other goodies but don't expect any other real major players out.

If you already have a Wii U there's an option for that.

I'll get one soon. The WiU backlog is getting big. Lots of catching up to do.

Aren't all 3 consoles pretty much dead?
I'd say PS4/XB1 never even lived.

Own one already, and if it weren't for the stuff Platinum made I wouldn't really be all that happy with it. 3D World and Donkey Kong were good (not great), but the other stuff is aight or worse territory. Smash is smash, as a fighting game it's solid, the online is a complete joke. Mario Kart 8 is more mario kart. Pikmin 3 sucks.

Hopefully Zelda, and the eventual Metroid game live up to their billing or Nintendo decides to be cool and bring Fatal Frame over, but they will choose to not be cool.

Already own one.

Aside from Pikmin 3 (one of the best games I've ever played) it's a dust collector and a BC convinience. I'm tired to tears of the same IPs and using the same IP clothes for new game concepts. Even though their games are different, they all feel far too similar and I always end up selling or trading any new purchases within a matter of days (Toad's Treasure being the most recent). I am not very impressed with how Zelda is looking, and the only game that really holds any interest to me at this point is Metroid, and that's not even announced yet.

This console is suffering the same fate the last one did: I use it very sparingly, and I'll probably only find about five games throughout its entire life worthwhile or fresh enough to warrant any attention. Nintendo 90% of the time bores me, and never has their output come off as so obligatorily rote and safe. Occasionally something arrives that reinvigorates and holds my interest for more than a short while (and when it does it's absolutely amazing), but it usually takes years in between to happen.

Until Nintendo picks up the ball and starts running with it in competition with real ambition and variety I can only be so bothered.

Getting one this year. Only console I'm not getting anytime soon is the ps4. I'll wait for a price drop and a non wobbly version to come out. Maybe it will have some games by then.

@M8ingSeezun: Why not buy a PC? You'll get superior multiplats, better sales, free online, and any controller you want to use, can be connected (including the DS4).

If you're going to buy a PS4, buy it because of its exclusives, which isn't coming for another 9 months.

I'm not a PC gamer and I don't intend on becoming one. I have a Mac anyway, so I don't game too often on it. I've been a console gamer for 33 years and I enjoy the console easy to plug and play experience.

Already have one. Don't regret the purchase because I didn't buy it nor did I pay for a single one of the 8-9 games I own for it.

That being said I probably use it a total of 2-3 weeks out of the year...

If I get rid of my X1 I might. I don't really want to accumulate consoles I might not play anymore. As it is I barely play my X1, mostly use it for streaming services.

Only reason I haven't sold it, is because I would be selling it at a massive loss at this point. I could just get rid of it at a loss and let my regrets about getting involved in this cluster **** gen go.

Um the real reason Nintendo is here still is because they make a profit period and dead after n64? Ha nice one but the n64'sold 34 million GC 24 million and each one was sold at a profit!

Wiiu was the first console that Nintendo sold below profit and ya amibo and games will bring the profit. Especially 3ds

As usual you're wrong. N64 was covered, made a profit later, GC never made profit, was completely covered by the handheld (Never for get desperate early $99.99 and that they had to stop producing consoles because of very bad sales.)
