How can any oS be good for gaming? an OS needs to GET OUT OF THE WAY once a game starts. So Windows 8 needs to use less resources.

Otherwise I am sure they mean they are doing something with GFWL.

I only want steam and IE. You can dump everything else lol.

I love clean operating systems.

But Windows 7 will hold me over till Windows 9.

People are 99% sure its something with GFWL and just because of that it will fail :P Hell lets say Windows 8 for some reason is the best thing since man learned to create fire. Even then i would go in and delete ALL data of GFWL even i had to do it one file at the time. Damn GFWL is BAD.

I never had any problems with Vista, ran just as good as 7 for me.... Maybe low-end hardware had problems ? dont know, but it was a fine OS for the years I had it.

I never had a low end rig and games ran alot worse for me. Vista was a resource hog simple as that.

I think it's too soon for a Windows 8. If they follow along the path of Windows 7 though, then they're on the right track. Their best OS yet.

Apparently Msoft is going to be bringing out a new OS every two years...
