Games sell better on PC/Less risk of piracy.i5750at4Ghz
Depends on the game for any platform. Starcraft 2 sold millions yet was pirated less than 550k from the report last year. (Not the 3.3 mil or so that was reported.)
If I were a dev I would much rather support the console crowd. The PC community will stab you in the back the first sign of trouble. Look at how many negative posts there are over at the witcher 2 forums on this site, people complaining about all sort of things claiming cd project is garbage and what not.i5750at4Ghz
There are a few negative posts about TW2, but there are 100x more positive posts. Its not our fault people were expecting a game that holds your hand through insane difficulty and rewarding you for failure. Meanwhile, there are a ton of people playing and enjoying every single keystroke. People complaining either need to learn to play, move on, or stop pirating games on Daddy's Dell computer. And of course there is always the odd few that truly don't like the game.
If I was a dev, I'd go multiplatform with PC as lead console. Its obvious consolers don't care about the quality of the game or else CoD wouldn't sell nearly as much as it does. I'd love getting free cash-ins too.
That we're not getting some ports ourselves doesn't really have anything to do with CDProjekt since they're not in charge of those games.

Congrats, you missed the point.
Impossible for the game to look bad, even at it's lowest settings it looks fantastic.[QUOTE="i5750at4Ghz"][QUOTE="Heirren"]
Witcher 2 will come to 360... ...and look like $hit.

While the minimum requirements for pc is a Geforce 8800? The 360 version will look dull and washed out like most its games.
I forgot about that minor detail. Isn't the 8800 like the bare minimum if we're talking about gaming standards these days?

You missed my point. A 9800 gt can run the game on high @ 720p minus AA, so I see no reason the 360 couldn't run at, at least low settings. Which imo looks good, much better than most console games out right now.[QUOTE="i5750at4Ghz"]

COD sells on PC too, so do PC gamers not care about quality as well? Yes, piracy does depend on the game, but it's clear PC suffers much more than consoles.lol waiting a long time for something thats vastly inferior. sums up console kids.

Why the hell are hermits so pissed about this? More cash for CD Projekt.

Yet, consoles still can't play Crysis.
You know its not all about the GPU...360 still has a weak triple-core and a very low amount of RAM.

Whats with this inferiority complex towards console gamers and gaming ? I guess you guys haven't even played nor own a PS 3 or Xbox 360 .
PC has obviously high resolutions than present consoles for consoles limited hardware but that dosen't make consoles any inferior . or else devs or publishers won't be making so many multiplat , console games nor gamers 'd be playing on consoles .

CPU in both consoles are much different that the CPUs we use in our PCs. Ram is the major bottleneck though, but CD project built the engine with this limitation in mind. It's in one of there dev diaries.[QUOTE="argetlam00"] [QUOTE="sami117"]

Absolutely. It's the type of game that would fit in well on PC.And i hope L.A Noire gets announced for PC as PC gamer's 'll also love L.A Noire for its pure detective and action gameplay . We get The Witcher 2 , PC gets L.A Noire ... both party happy and satisfied :)

True . I'm playing the game right now and was thinking about PC gamers that they'll really enjoy this game as its intelligent game for the mind ( pure detective game like Sherlock Holmes ) as PC gamers love such types of intellectual games :)

even if it werent a complete graphical powerhouse, cause when were rpg's all bout teh graphics.I couldnt care if it looked like a PS1 game im more intrested in the story :P
Just dont have room or money for a new Puk :(
Cool im going to enjoy it when it hits consoles. Hermits will be inclined to point out that it is inferior is some twisted way, i will just point out that im playing it regardless.
I couldn't care less if the game went iphone.
If developers really did what Crytek originally promised us with Crysis 2, a PC version that wasn't compromised because of consoles. Of course they then changed their statement with "If it doesn't work on the consoles it's out". As a result we got another console game to play, thanks Crytek.
This is not the case with the Witcher 2. What doesn't go in in the console version is out.

I... don't think it was. Pretty sure it was 360 first, then ported to pc... But @flash I dunno if that's what he was implying, or was it? Maybe he thinks that it's hard for Epic to port, which it obviously wouldn't be.Why no ps3? hmm yes it can't handle the game .TheGuardian03Excessively unorthodox hardware methinks. Not that the hardware can't do it :). Also that it doesn't use Directx, but instead an apparently modified OpenGL.

It IS great that CD Projekt make lots of money thanks to this game, it's well deserved.
However, don't fool yourself in thinking you'll get the same experience on console than on the PC. Maybe I'm spoiled, but some of the multiplats I've tried out on Xbox360 were nearly unplayable for me... The difference for me is that big.
Then again, if you're not used to PC gaming, I'm sure there's loads of fun to be found playing TW2 on consoles. I knew a guy who actually enjoyed Civilization II on PS1...

Yeah cause a res and AA bump makes such a huge difference... I swear some of the PC gamers on this site act like PC games looks so much better than console games. In terms of multiplats very few do. Only like 3 or 4 games actually do things outside of resolution to make them look any different than there console counter part.Possibly, but LOW look spretty damn good on that game anyways. Also, the PC version, if you plug in a 360 controller and play it, it already has all the icons for the 360 and changes for a 360 controller. Actually i'm guessing medium, seeing as my 9800 gtx runs it at ultra with uber sampling off.lowest settings Im sure,

Then there's the fact that I find the mouse more precise.
Then there's the fact that I love hotkeys, and having lots of input options thanks to my keyboard.
Then there's the fact that I mod to death nearly all the games I play on PC, which immensely increases their replayability and the fun.
Then there's the fact that I actually enjoy tweaking my games/hardware to enhance my gaming experience.
You don't agree with me, no problem with that. But as far as I'm concerned, those aspects are far from negligible. And there's nothing you can do or say about how I prefer to game.
And just so that we are clear on that subject, let me add this : I would like you to be able to read my mind, just to fathom the extent to which I don't give a rat's *$# whether the games I play are exclusive to this or that platform. I'm 30 and have been gaming on consoles since the Atari 2600, and on PC since 1992. All console/pc manufacturers are there for the money, so I don't give blind loyalty to any platform (I do have a certain bias for Nintendo, out of admiration for Mr Miyamoto).
As many other PC gamers have said in this thread, if the game goes multiplat without hurting PC development, so much the better. I really believe the devs deserve the sales and money (it kills me how some mediocre franchises like sport games or recent CoD games sell like hotcakes, while masterpieces have a hard time breaking even).
I just hope TW3 won't get the Crysis 2 / DA2 treatment. If it does, it won't be the end of the world for me. I'll still have more good games than I can realistically play, after all. It will just be a pity to see a thing of quality get defaced.
