Hmm, i've played nearly like 60 hours or more, and haven't noticed any major issues at all. Perhaps its just the shit PS4 version, because i'm playing it on PC.

I've got over 100 on PS4 and nothing is preventing me from playing. I'm on end content now, level 28, so its time to push through!

Just started playing myself on PC. Even with an FX-6300 and R9 380 4GB, runs just fine at an average 55fps (and I do hit some highs of 60).

I'll probably buy it for PC when it goes $10 or so. It's a great game. Just make sure to explore an encore territory before you move on(You'll find many upgrades) and do missions while they are in your level, otherwise you only get 1-2 XP.

The combat system is already way better than Skyrim. How could it be better? Do you want Batman combat? lol

are you actually serious?

geralt fights like a slow motion ballet dancer with a broken leg. he misses by miles. the combat in this game is trash.

At least with skyrims combat you have a high chance of hitting the enemy.

So, in other words, it's too hard for you. Gotcha.

Skyrim is just a button mashing game where dodging was not even necessary. It took no skill to fight, nor did it take any strategy or thinking. On the hardest difficulty, I would just tap the mouse button many many times, and they would eventually die. That combat system was atrocious. You HAD to use mods to make it any good.

Having put close to 100 hours into the game, I can say that the Witcher 3 was not even close to as buggy as the 6 - 7 hours I put into Skyrim. Not even close. Give it a rest, Sal_The_Fries, we know you disliked the game. We know you didn't think it's worth its praise. Do you really have to go in every Witcher 3 topic insinuating untrue bullshit?

I can live without motion blur, disabling it made the game run better (not flawless, but it's really noticeable). If this patch lets me to enable motion blur I welcome it, I've run into some new bugs on my second playthrough that will hopefully get fixed, nothing major though.

That's nice. Trying to keep it relevant after so long. Too bad though, the remainder of the year belongs to MGSV.

Pfffft, Farcry 4 and MGSV tried to keep me away from this game and they failed miserably :P

@DragonfireXZ95: hahaha the old. "Get good" argument eh? Its not hard at all, its just crap. Its the worst thing about the game. Not much else is wrong with the game though.

Skyrims combat when played with a controller feels right. There is weight behind your blows and you can feel the enemies blows against your defence.

Witchers combat sucked in 2 and imo sucks even more in 3. The reliance on rolling and shit hitboxes coupled with slow animations and its basically a button masher with only two buttons. Its wank.

I wish CD projekt would just get in touch with From software already. This entire time they've been trying to duplicate that design yet failing miserably. It's time for an intervention.

Skyrim is pretty much a slightly more visceral version of Minecraft, they don't get a pass from me either. We need stronger combat systems in these WRPG's period, especially when 90% of the game is spent doing just that.

There must be something wrong with me, I enjoy the combat quite a bit :P I also like Bloodborne and DS.

I'm echoing your statement if we will actually see performance improvements. Despite the technical short comings discussions about ps4. The strangest thing that people don't talk about allot is that in this game ps4 actually performs allot better on towns with lots of ai and when fighting monsters outside. Heavy use of post processing effect like blur and motion blur on that swamp area, and some cut scenes is where we see sever fps drop. It will be very interesting to see if its across the board improvements because honestly other than those severe area its not that far off from the target.

@ReadingRainbow4: yep. I am no fan of dark souls but the combat certainly works. Imo the batman games do it brilliantly the finish animations and camera panning in is awesome. The chains and combos are rewarding.

Batmans style wouldnt work for games like the witcher, but honestly its just bad. Games like onimusha 3 and devil may cry could do third person combat, why cant cdprojekt just do it like them.

Geralt is supposed to be a badass and he is all the time he isnt fighting. when he fights he looks like mr bean.

I'd love to see Geralt pulling off an SSS style combo into the air and comboing it with magic.

it would actually work perfectly with the lore since he's supposed to be a superhuman mutant as well.

Dude already has white hair, just make him the new Dante. shit I'd much rather have Geralt than Donte.

@ReadingRainbow4: yeah. Thats the thing. It could totally work. Now i must say that the game is really great and the naff combat does not ruin it for me. Geralt is a good, strong, likeable and very watchable character. Other than the fact that i got bored of the game after about 60 hours, its a ln awesome game and the side quests etc are all pretty good.

But when you are playing a game like this and get that "oh fucking hell here comes another a fight, cant we just talk it through instead?" feeling, then you know the combat blows so bad.

Fighting against humans is the easiest part of the game, DMC style combat would ruin the game imo.

@Epak_: its boring.......and incredibly clunky. thats the problem, not the difficulty.

Actually i found the talking to npcs to be easier

You like the combat in Skyrim? Because that's what I think about its combat system.

@Epak_: it works. It may not be complicated or deep.....but it works.

Witcher 3's combat is hit and miss (pun intended) and whilst not game breaking, it needn't be the way it is and could be improved.

Thats all i have to say about it.

I really haven't noticed blows not connecting, I know I would be frustrated if it was such a glaring issue with the game. Most of the time my timing is just off and I miss a strike or get hit.

You think Skyrim has good combat? Oh boy. I see my work here is done.

@Epak_: I agree. The combat has plenty of variation, allowing you to use a multitude of fighting styles. You can slow enemies down, dodge behind them, and use strong attacks. Or you can brute force your way in with Quen. The game shines on Deathmarch difficulty, where you actually have to think about your moves.

Skyrim was just LOL-mash-attack until the enemy was dead.

900p, locked 30fps would be nice, but I doubt it.

and this is supposed to mean something? Skyrim has the worst combat system in the gaming industry... being better than the worst there is, means nothing.

PC version here too, I encountered one bug on 1+1/2 playthroughs. Might just be the console versions.

lol you're wrong on this. On death march all you can AND MUST DO is spam the invulnerability spell 100% of the time. Shitty combat system gets even worst because it forces you to spam 1 spell unless you want to get two shotted. I love TW series and haven't played TW3 yet because i waited to upgrade my pc. Now that i did, and GMG has the game for $30, im not even that hyped to play the game because of the combat system alone. Its abysmal, soooooooooooo bad. On par with the worst in the industry. Hard to be worst of a combat system...

But I thought console gaming was plug and play, not wait months for a patch.

Obvious fake statement, AM-GAMER told us the game is perfectly playable, there's no problems with the PS4 version.

I didn't even bother to do the last two story missions in MGSV. The game is an 8 max, while TW3 is way closer to that 10 it got here.

Yes, when some1 has nothing interesting to say, he says the usual "you must be bad" card. Original. I don't even have the game yet but i played TW2 on hard from first PT and know exactly how TW3 is. So bish please with your "bad".
