Holy poop, I didn't expect that. 1 million in around two weeks is kinda crazy. Basically only Halo sells more than that.

isnt this game based on a novel? i dont think they will be making a sequel unless theres a actual sequel for the same novel.

It's based on a a series of novels. However the game is based on where the novel left off.

Its the best RPG in a long time for me.

I really don't think The Witcher is a game that would work on Xbox 360. I really see this game as something for people who enjoy RPG's and are OK with outmoded graphics and rules-based combat. Twitch skills are limited to clicking the mouse button at the right time.

I too would like to know how The Witcher has sold in U.S.A. to get a feel for how how many people are still interested in playing classic RPG's on the PC platform in this part of the world.

gamespot are morons, i wouldnt have even known about the witcher if it werent for hearing about it on the forums, thanks guys :P.

i dont give the **** about gs' opinion anymore, without greg kasavin and jeff i really think they';ve really gone downhill. that bald guy who reviewed assassin's creed and c&c3 (aswell as many others) is **** tripping.

Well they did handle the Polish versions of Planescape Torment, Baldurs Gate 2: Shadows of Amn, etc etc etc etc.

Bioware and CDP have had a long running relationship.

For all who don't know , a sequel has already been announced(unofficially), and it is rumored taht it will be on consoles as well.

And this is great news to hear. So much for PC Gamers not ever buying any games. When a quality title like this comes out, it will sell well, period.

Having a hard time finding one. Suffice it to say I've been lurking on their official forums since I bought the game and there was a definite mention somewhere from a CDPR dev that a sequel was underway, and that they wanted to expand to consoles. Sorry thats all I can offer you, take it for what it is.

Actually, the rumor for consoles was shot down on the forum by the actual dev.

A sequel has not been conformed, nor has console support. However, a follow up has been confirmed. Whether this will take the form of a sequel or expansion pack has not been confirmed.

i have finished the game and the ending is clearly opening to a sequel because there are a lot of unanswered questions and unfinished quests. the outro movie was a cliff hanger too. anyway, i'm happy this game sold well. i'm one of the few gamers who bought this game here in Philippines.
