With Knack and Killzone flops, does the xbone seem more appealing?

Still not. Both launch line-ups look terrible. I'll wait a year before jumping into next gen. Until then I've plenty to play on my PS3 and PC. This is why I never buy consoles day 1. Faulty hardware and terrible software you can get later on with cheap prices

Same here. It confuses me why people get over hyped about buying a console day one after observing how much launches generally suck in past generations.

I'm not getting any system at launch, but if you are a gamer and can only afford one, I think Sony has the best history of delivering great exclusives. I think I'll get it when Infamous comes out.

We all knew those two games were going to be mediocre, just like Ryse and Dead Rising will be.

We already know Forza and most likely Dead Rising will at least be AA titles, and so far buzz about KI is great, The only game that can really hit or miss is Ryse.

Neither console has a very appealing launch line-up anyway. It's gonna take more than 2 flops to affect my choice.

I'm surprised it's getting average reviews. I thought it would get 9's from alot of websites cause of the looks alone but graphics truly doesn't make a game. I'll still pick it up when I get my PS4.

No not to me, but then again, I was never intending to own either Knack or Killzone. Knack looks like a child's game and Killzone is a FPS and well as a PC gamer, I don't take much interest in FPS on consoles, exclusive or not. The only FPS I own for my PS3 is Resistance 2.

Wow. Shadow Fall was a surprise even though Killzone games have always been average or worse. That means Forza is guaranteed to be the crown jewel of the exclusive launch titles unless Ryse or DR3 can step up to the plate. That was the one game Sony was banking on. That's why they waited this long to allow reviews.

No Killzone has ever been a good ga,me, and no one hyped Knack. Nothing that happened with those scores is a surprise in the least. The Xbox One has the better launch lineup by far.

We already knew Killzone and Knack wouldn't be masterpieces so not much has changed. They only got hyped because they were the only exclusives PS4 had.

It's going to be interesting to see what Dead Rising 3 gets seeing that it's being wrecked lately for being at a lower res and frame rate than everyone was expecting.

We still need to see the X1 launch title reviewed to reach a conclusion... but it shouldn't be hard to outmatch the PS4 flops we have on display, unless MS really fucks things up.

I learnt my lesson last gen as far as buying a console at launch. The only Xbox One game that looks interesting to me is Forza 5, but with Project Cars and Assetto Corsa coming to PC soon I don't feel like I'm missing out.

It's the same every year - crappy launch titles rushed to meet the console release date, nothing available so far screams "next gen", the only game that you could argue "looks" next gen is Killzone: SF, and even that doesn't look as good as Crysis 2 maxed on PC, never mind Crysis 3, Metro: LL, etc...

Really? Guerrilla games have always been sub-par. Maybe that's a bit harsh, judging by the review the online in Shadow Fall is pretty decent, but it sounds like they made some pretty amateurish mistakes in the campaign.

I don't know about that. Assuming what they've said about "driveatar" (or whatever it's called) is true, that could almost be considered a revolution as far as racing game AI (and AI in general) goes. Aside from that, there's not a whole lot you can do in a racing game that hasn't been done - improve the graphics, track accuracy, physics, etc etc - all of witch they've done in Forza 5.

I'm reading the review and it just sounds like he based his review too much on the single-player. I mean, every bad thing he had to say about the game was about the SP. Killzone is a multi-player focused game. I sure wish CoD would have gotten that scrutiny like Killzone got here. I still plan on getting this game, as the multi-player is supposed to rock and I, like literally the entire rest of the fan base, I play Killzone for the multi-player, not for the eight hour campaign. I think if he wouldn't have emphasized the single-player so much, this game probably would have gotten an 8 or maybe even a 9, depending on how much he loved the MP.

Killzone SF flopped, honestly was not expecting that. I think by now, we can safely accept that Sony's flagship shooter is an average franchise.

When I was telling the cows how ironic it was they attack the X1 launch line up and tell the lems they have low expectations, while at the same time they hype Killzone SF, I didn't think I'd be right. I expected an 8.5 across the board at least.

I want the cows to know, that I take no pleasure in their games flopping, even though if the X1 games flop or their own had scored really highly, we would never have heard the end of it.

One of them got FPS of the year here that one time and scored AAA, lol.

Knack always looked rubbish. Killzone is so dam mediocre, it's just Sony's desperate attempt to make a game as good as Halo. The only people I've seen going mad for it are Sony fanboys. Even my PS3 only friends prefer COD and Battlefield.

MS's launch lineup is clearly better. Forza looks rehashy but will still be good (ala Mario or COD), Dead Rising 3 looks a blast, and Crimson Dragon, Lococycle, Ryse and Killer Instinct could all impress.

Sony's main studios have been supporting the heck out of the PS3 this year (God Of War, Ni No Kuni, Ratchet and Clank, Last Of Us, Beyond Two Souls, Gran Turismo, The Last of Us) and that is to their extreme credit. It does look to have hurt the PS4's early months though.

KZ2 was actually a fun game but KZ3 made the series too much like Call of Duty. KZ2 had a nice heavy feel to it which made the game more tactical and less run and gun, apparently KZSF is more like KZ3

Forza will review very well, and DR3 gets that its just alot of fun from almost every preview. Ryse will be polarizing, and likely not review all that well cause its a amazing looking but simple brawler.

I did. Changes nothing. Great graphics, boring gameplay, terrible writing and voice acting. Its a very very average game, far from a killer app. And none of that is shocking.
