I think the 720 will be very profitable at launch. Let's not forget they'll have some multiplats aswell and social gaming functions such as Facebook and Skype. My point is, the 720 will have a variety of experiences to offer for the non gamer especially as well as the gamer.

I think as long as Microsoft is profitable their fanbase will remain loyal despite the lack of core titles.

MS will have to do a LOT more in order to beat Sony right out of the gate. The ball is definitely very much in Sony's court right now and they have so far nailed what gamers seem to want for next gen.

What is there for an RPG gamer ?

PS4 already has Level 5 RPG, Deep Down, possibly Demons Souls 2, Dark SOuls 2 (there is no way they will not have a PS4 version later), Diablo 3, Witcher 3, FF15 Agnes, possibly FF13vs etc etc

Lets look at whats confirmed for launch. Killzone, Infamous, Drive Club, some weird MM game, Knack .. None of them are heavy hitters. None of them are system sellers. What will sell the PS4 is the Call of Duty this holiday. The Battlefield 4. Assassins Creed 4. Those franchises dwarf anything Sony has announced.

And with the 720 (despite us not know anything about the launch lineup) I'm guessing the situation will be exactly the same.

Cows just have to deal with the fact that mutliplats are a lot more important than exclusives (Unless you're Halo or Gran Turismo). What will sell these console this holiday are the features they offer and the price.

Gamers need to be the absolute priority when you're selling a games console, extra functionality is fine, but make it the focus and you lose your core market.JamDev

Go look through all the UI screens released so far. There are links to games, videos etc. I personally wouldn't call them ads but cows have this entire gen when bashing the 360 so its time they drown in their own medicine.

Yeah it did but nowhere near the quality of skype. Voice chat will improve a lot thanks to it.

(A variation of) Move is being incorporated into every PS4 controller, and its pretty likely that Sonys own Kinect / camera bar will ship with every console. Its more important than you think.

online social features =/= Facebook troll.  Sony was outling their *ONLINE* and how it will be an overall better social network.  They never specifically hyped facebook as :roll: "a big part in the PS4"
