Super Mario Bros 3 was the first game I played to death. Ocarina of Time got me really into gaming though.

[QUOTE="FamiBox"]

[QUOTE="carljohnson3456"] I'm kinda surprised how young some people are on here. In a way I feel privileged to have experienced the NES era. So many kids started during the N64/PS1 era... I did play some Atari as a kid, but NES was my first console. Glad I got to see Nintendo from the (mainstream) beginning. tirralirra

I feel the same. I can't fathom the first game somebody played was in... 3D!

With Atari 2600 you had to use your imagination more, but in a way it added to the fun.

I remember seeing Super Mario Bros on NES for the first time and being amazed at it's graphics (compared to Atari 2600 it was a huge jump.)

For some kid to say the first game they played was Mario 64 or something makes me feel really old, but at the same very appreciative of what decade I was born in.

I do however feel slightly jealous for the people out there who were born in the early 70's or early. I missed that whole playing Space Invaders and Pacman in the arcade generation.

I have a vectrex. It was the first 3d console.

Yeah... I guess if by 3D you mean lines. (or was you referring to it's 3D glasses?)

I was refering to 3D rendered games with textures. That's what I was getting at.

I played Diablo I and Warcraft I when I was seven years old...those games were a lot more frightening then their direct sequels.

Joemama2069

Mega Man X was a cakewalk until the final level. Basically, they pitted you against three bosses in a row with no health recovery in between. Some of the bosses' attacks could take half your lifebar per hit...

It was either Spyro: Year of the Dragon or Super Mario Brothers 1. My first two console were the PS1 and NES and I got them both at the same time.

I think mine was pokemon red, I was like 5 and seriously loved the show at the time, so my parents brought a GBC and Pokemon Red to basically just keep me happy and give me my fix :). Although my first console game I know for fact was Lylat Wars (Starfox 64).

Actually I think my first game was this thing where you had to pick up kids at their bus stops, it was on a pc but was weird. The computer couldn't go on the internet and really only could be used for things like writing documents. Game was on a floppy disk btw. I also played the crap out of where in the world is carmine Sandiago or maybe it was where in time.
