Super Mario Bros 3 was the first game I played to death. Ocarina of Time got me really into gaming though.

I feel the same. I can't fathom the first game somebody played was in... 3D!

With Atari 2600 you had to use your imagination more, but in a way it added to the fun.

I remember seeing Super Mario Bros on NES for the first time and being amazed at it's graphics (compared to Atari 2600 it was a huge jump.)

For some kid to say the first game they played was Mario 64 or something makes me feel really old, but at the same very appreciative of what decade I was born in.

I do however feel slightly jealous for the people out there who were born in the early 70's or early. I missed that whole playing Space Invaders and Pacman in the arcade generation.

Yeah... I guess if by 3D you mean lines. (or was you referring to it's 3D glasses?)

I was refering to 3D rendered games with textures. That's what I was getting at.

I played Diablo I and Warcraft I when I was seven years old...those games were a lot more frightening then their direct sequels.

Mega Man X was a cakewalk until the final level. Basically, they pitted you against three bosses in a row with no health recovery in between. Some of the bosses' attacks could take half your lifebar per hit...

Probably Super Mario Bros. for NES, although I can't really recall, but it was one of my most played NES games.

Might have been California Games on some Amiga system, that is if my memory serves me right.

I think it was either Pac-Man or Super Mario Bros. Either way it was on an arcade machine. I remember sucking up Super Mario Bros the first time I played it.
