WKC not living up to hype? :(

I agree, if White Knight did not have so mediocre visuals and such a generic repeatitive world and combat, would be a buy day one

Now it reminds me the generic feeling of MMOs and FF12, the only RPG's i hate with passion

For example Demon Soul got as low as WKC in Japan, but is still a buy day one for me, while WKC is a rent or a skip altogether

all the hype died for this game as soon as the game was finalized. Cows would always say the graphics would be improved, that the 2006 trailer was an old build etc etc.

I remember the middle of 2008 when WKC was hyped AAA with Level 5 being the next Square Enix and the game would rival FFXIII and FFXV13 and that trifecta of RPGS would own any of the "B"Team Rpgs of the 360 only to find out months later that FFXIII is going 360, WKC getting mediocre reviews, and the status of VS13 is too far away to guarantee any kind of exclusitivity.

I mean a 7.0 isn't that bad of a score but when you actually read the content it sounds like he was pretty disappointed with it. :( I dunno maybe it'll get a bit more polish by the time it comes here but that just stinks.

I wish the team would have made an enhanced version of Jeanne d'Arc for the PS3 instead. d'Arc was just such a great TRPG, shame it didn't get a whole lot of attention.SpruceCaboose

I thought it was okay. The whole, turn limit did make it challenging...but maybe it's just because I didn't fully get into the story.

I have Star Ocean 2 (PS1 version and PSP) and no it is not one of the best JRPGs.

Another flopped JRPG. They just keep failing and failing this generation. Guess where going to have to wait until 2010. If 13 flops, I give up on the genre. It's pretty much on life support right now.Dahaka-UK

Star Ocean has never been a top tier game. Its alway been good to barely great, but top tier......no. The only reason lemmings are boosting it is because its 360 exclusive. Most 360 fans have never even touched the series till now, and sadly they probably won't in the future. I see a PS3 release soon enough. Hopefully it won't come down to that though. I think both consoles need their exclusives, but if the Sony PS3 owners only raise the question much and the 360 version doesn't sell up to S-E's standards......the future looks bright for a PS3 version

It's all opinion, and I will agree that so far SO4 looks great but SO3 is a good game? Never. SO2 is one of the best of all time? Absolutely not. Star Ocean 2 was a fun game but it was nothing special.

Has there been a hyped thread for both games yet? So far I didint see a hype level of SO4.Same goes for WKC. I already know fanboy who hate sony will say cows hyped WKC out the wazoo to a AAA which is bull. Iv seen some some say a-aa.

Wow you dont pay attention to how different people score games from east and west. TLR got a uber high score in japan,but not here. Same with LO and I think BD and IU. So yea. I dont trust famitsu scores at all *looks at haze score*.

You actually pay attention to fanboys? I look for people who actually care about the game when it comes to hype level. Of course fanboys hype everything out the wazoo. Im pretty sure plenty of lems are hyping SO4 AAA,but i rather hear the hype leve from people who are actually interested in the game.

THe developers have stated that thier is no central game to be technical. They all come from the Fabula Nova Cystallis series. So there all spinoffs??

Im not even gonna touch this argument. I've done it so many times with Blackbond and Dreams its not even funny anymore.
