I just spent the last 8 hours (no joke) on Home. (Ofcourse with breaks for the Thanksgiving stuff).

Man this is addicting.

If you plan on doing nothing but walking around in Home, Home will probably bore you. But if you plan on talking to other people, meeting new people and stuff, it's a BLAST.

Me, and 3 other people were doing the running man for atleast an hour and a half straight, and just left it there while all of us were talking about random BS and making each other laugh.

Then there's people who are so weird by making the weirdest characters or have funny names come in and we talk about them and they join our group, this stuff is great now I have 3 new PSN friends who I feel like I actually KNOW and not some random people who add me because i'm good at a game or something.

Seriously PS3 owners who are planning on using Home as a social network are in for a really huge treat. This stuff is massively addicting in my opinion.

P.S. I'd also like to add that i'm really really glad Sony has taken a long time finishing Home. To say this application is polished is an understatement. I have not gotten into 1 major bug yet, no problems what so ever. There's a few glitches that people found out, but no big things that would ruin your experience or anything. A lot of people were complaining that there wasn't much to do in Home, but that's because they're running around by THEMSELVES. Once you join a group it's insanely fun to go to the bowling alley or just sit in a circle in the Mall and talk for a long time.

Dude i agree with you 100%.. Home is downright amazing! speaking as a owner of both the 360 and PS3 I can honestly say that yes, Home beats Xbox live big time.. Infact thats a lot coming from me becasue i was the biggest cheerleader of Xbox live and use to think that no service will be able to top it but man, after spending the last few days in Home, its just so amazing.. Put it this way, I game A LOT over xbox live and have owned the 360 for 2 years, I have met and added more friends on my friends list on my PS3 in the last 3 days ive had home than I have with xbox live! the cool thing about Home is how when you add a friend you actually feel more interested in keeping a gaming relationship with them whereas if you add someone over Xbox live you might only stay in contact with them every now and then..

For example i walked up to a guy in home, started playing pool, we where chatting about killzone 2... another guy walks up and says "Hey i heard you guys talk about Killzone 2" so we where like yea it will be amazing. So while me and my friend finished up our game of pool, we added the other guy that came up to us to our friends list, well i invited them back to my home "apartment" and we just sat there and talked about games for 30 mins, after that we all joined a game of warhawk and played for 2 hours.. Yes Home IS AMAZING!! I use to be ADDICTED to xbox live and use to get on it EVERYDAY! I havent touched my 360 since I got Home.. The only flaw I see with home is that its so addictive and fun that it actually distracts me from playing my PS3 games lol.

I use to buy all my 3rd party games for the 360 and just bought PS3 exclusives for my PS3, but if its true that starting in Januaray that ALL PS3 games will HAVE to have trophies and most of the PS3 games will have Home content, I will definitly start buying the PS3 versions of all my 3rd party games now. Home is unlike anything I have ever experienced and I have a feeling this is going to be huge! I love it so far and it will only get better from here!! OH AND ITS FREE!!

I love Home, my only worry that its actually so good and addictive that it will distract me from my PS3 games,, yes its that good in my opinion!! for instance, I turned on my PS3 earlier tonight to play some Motorstorm PR, instead I decided to jump in home "for only a few mins" well i met this really cool dude, we played pool and what not, walked around the mall and just talked with other people about Games, before i know it 1 hour went by then 2 hours then my mic and controller died so i had to charge them.. But yea, Home is amazing and im lovin it so far! My only worry now is allocating my time for Home and actual PS3 games because home is very addictive and i really dont want to be distracted from my actual PS3 games

I guess Sony took them out to add the new invites & test the servers more internally, but they were Uncharted- Sully's Bar & two FC 2 areas.

I think we have different opinions on what fun is. And couldn't you do that in any game's pregame lobby (minus the running man)?

I just got in the beta 2 days ago, and I found Home to be extremely boring. If people like it, great, but not me. It's funny and sad at the same time that many people on there make up a female character and then most immature males will be all over it doing stupid stuff. Personally, I'd rather just play games and meet people while playing online. The virtual apartment, and other hangouts are just a waste of time in my opinion.

I spent a good 10 or so hours in Home yesterday. At first, I was like "wow, the character creation rivals even oblivions!" Then I realised... the only thing to do besides make characters (and with the EXTREMELY limited beta options) is bowling, arcade games, pool, and wait in line to get destroyed by someone who plays chess at least 4 hours a day. Or.. you can stand around, talking to people, and dance, maybe even in a group! yay!. They need to add violent actions. There are some REALLY annoying people in Home that truly deserve a punch to the jewels. seriously.. it's so annoying how people follow you around, spamming chat and stuff, so you ignore them, yet they continue to follow you around. I know its just for meeting up with people, but it's just like pachter said.. what is there in Home to actually make me WANT to be there? On the surface it's pretty deep. But then you get into it, and realise "that's really IT." It's really pretty shallow. Even with more options, I'm not absolutely sure it will get much better. Let alone, at the mere sight of something that remotely resembles a female IN HOME.. you will see a flock of 13 year old boys swarming him/her. I made a female character for my sister lastnight, and had her walking around, talking into the mic at guys, and I almost instantly got spammed by like 5 different people with friend invites. It's funny though when I walk around with her character, and get all these retreads hitting on me.. and i'm like "SUP." in my mic. lol. Home has proven to me that the PSN community really isn't much better off than the XBL community. That being said, I could see myself spending a bit of time in Home when it comes out, but definitely not too much time, as it seems more like a huge waste of time, as opposed to constructively wasting my time playing REAL games.

It's fun. I've gotten quite a few friend requests off there too. It's easy finding people to play with in games like LBP and such, just by running around and asking people.

So far I don't think I've ran into any Gamespot members in there... Or at least no one has told me. I asked once in the movie theater, but nobody answered.

It's okay, but while I was excited for it when I first jumped in, I don't really care anymore. It's interesting and should be handy as a social interactive tool once everyone gets it, I just think I'm way past being capable of being interested in soemthing like Home for a long period of time. I would have been all over it in high school, probably.

Says the user on a gaming forum :P. I mean really, we created online avatars of ourselves (sometimes persona), socialize, discuss games/current events on these boards lol. Why not in a 3D space that is revolved around games and affects the ones you play? I know its not for everyone, but it being a persistent environment, its definitely a good step in the right direction for Sony and their users.

It's not near as easy meeting gamers with similar interest on the street. Home is game specific, we all have one common interest in the least, and that's games. It's not like Second Life where you imitate your real life or make up a virtual life. But more in-tune to a forum. But in 3d...and there are features/aspects that involve and affect your games. All forms of socializing can be fun and healthy, you're doing it now :).

I like Home, there is alot of potential for the service because alot of the features there are locked, it is simple for now but I like it, Gamespot should make Systemwars club in HOME :P

Bowling is cool but playing pool is a bit hard, they should fix the controls for pool.

I can't wait for the full fledged Home service, the potential is big for Home and it's free.

I said the same thing about a SW club before lol. But the member cap is 32 so there'll have to me multiple clubs. Like GS-SW 1, 2, 3, etc. That would be awesome.

The community is OK for the most part but there are some MAJOR morons there. You only have to look at how some people swoop towards female avatars to see how moronic they are, not realising that 3/4 of them are probably dudes.

Pretty limited so far, but that's because it's just a server stress test at the moment. Can't wait to see what they add over the coming months because the possibilities are pretty much endless. Great addition to the PS3 IMO.

I think the people you refer to are a great minority of extremists. And you're bound to get some reactions such as that since this is SW. Point is. Home is like a 3D forum with game related features. But its like on crack lol and can actually affect the games you play and will play on PS3. It being free and persistent is also a great incentive.

BTW, I praise these boards to an extent, honestly. They're my favorite on the net. How many people do you see say that "I'm just on GS for the forums"? Alot .

Wow what is wrong with some of you, you guys really pounced on me because of the running man crap, that's not the point I was trying to make.

The point is I was talking with people who had my similar interests and we were all messing around and having fun, I live in NYC and I don't know about the people here who live in little small communities but I can't just go out and meet some random person and be like "do you like games want to start talking!?". It just doesn't work like that, and this Home thing is a great tool in my opinion to talk to people with your similar interests.

Get off your high real life horses and have some fun online, real life sucks and you know it, I go out I go to work and come home and that's basically it until I go to college so this can be fun until I get there, along with normal videogames but ofcourse you don't judge yourself on playing videogames because everyone does it.

Also to the guy who said everyone swarms around girls, honestly I haven't seen that THAT much to be complaining about it. I met a few real girls who talked on the mic's and there were like 2 other guys and we were just conversating normally, I only saw 1 guy who was pretty much stalking this girl, but other then that everyone has been just talking normally and stuff. The swarms of guys on girls stuff is highly exaggerated considering a lot of guys make girl avatars too.
