A gorgeuos adventure with bags of invention. Behind Galaxy, this is the second best platformer on wii.

When did I say it can't be amazing? When did I ever say that? I'm more than happy to hear this game is doing so well. It'll give me a reason to start playing my Wii again. I do plan to buy this game, given it gets positiv reviews.

BUT realistically, I don't see how someone could've expected an AAAE score from this game. It's 2D, as in, been done many, many, many times before. It's a step backwards, or possibly a step sideways. It's simple to see what does get AAAE score these days. What's expected now is characters with depth, powerful story, and rich, innovative gameplay. WarioLand may have just one of these factors. if Mario friggin' Galaxy didn't score AAAE (I'm talking about this site btw) then I don't expect this game to. Just because it's a 2D platformer on a console, doesn't wow me.

Galaxy did get AAA, are you sure the E isn't confusing you, that just means exclusive.

If he meant Super Paper Mario (8.8 would be 9.0 with the current rating system) then he's comparing apples with oranges. Super Paper Mario was an excellent RPG but not as great of a platformer game.

The "note" part is quite true. I see loads of people in the Wii forum moan about lack of great games, and you say "Well what are you looking forward to then?" "Conduit!" "Madworld!" -.- Madworld looks amazing yes, and Conduit looks like it could turn out to be a fun FPS, but why are so many people especially fanboys ignore or demereting games like this. This is a big game, it looks amazing, it'll play amazing, and best of all it's a 2d platformer! Yet everyone ignores it, and unless it gets an AAA most people in System Wars will ignore it too. That's what I hate about this gen, seems to be the only gen where 99% of people in System Wars pay no attention to a game which scores lower than a 9 unless it's to laugh at people because it "flopped"

I'm really looking forward to this game. The animation quality is also great but I just enjoy Wario Land games, and this looks like a winner too. Glad to see it getting good reviews, I can't wait to buy it. :Dyoshi_64

I need next month to come around, I've been so irritated all this month, there's been no games on Wii worth getting, in fact apart from Soul Calibur there's been nothing on any console really worth buying, and it's been the summer holidays as well so I've had nothing to play. The next month I get de Blob, Star Wars and this. Need...September...now....
