[QUOTE="mdisen2"][QUOTE="JackDaniels121"][QUOTE="mdisen2"][QUOTE="JackDaniels121"][QUOTE="SgtWhiskeyjack"] [QUOTE="Espada12"]Another AAA for pc. We share this one with our sheep friends though! :Dfabz_95
I think you share it with everyone here. It doesn't exactly require a PC of Crysis proportions to play it.
And it doesn't exactly count as a AAA.
I wouldn't put World of Goo (or braid for that matter) on the same level as something like Fallout 3 or Final Fantasy 13, not even close
I really don't like that. I think World of Goo should count just like Braid, Wipeout HD, and Geometry Wars should count.
But it's retarded to say that it counts the same.
Fallout = Braid?
They have different standards. i think that the standards for the XBLA/PSN are roughly equivelant to psp/ ds games.
Honestly? I'd rather have World of Goo over many A, AA, or even AAA $50-$60 games. I enjoyed it that much.
Although I do agree, World of Goo is brilliant and I would also rather have it over many other games but I still think it would be unfair to include downloadable games.
Say we did include the games it would be unfair to compare it with proper games. The game deserves AAA as a downloadable game but if the game was packaged in a case and sold for $60 then I think it would be a different story.
Its true that the value would suffer from being a 60$ game.
But everything else holds true AAA standards.
For me spending 20$ on a 5 hour game with AAA gameplay is as good as spending 60$ on a 15 hour game with AAA gameplay..
Also value is something that really differs from game too game.. If you compare any single player game with a multiplayer game you will probably get 10 times as much value in the multiplayer one. Myself I consider the fun you have while the game lasts is the most important in scoring, value comes second.
If I would compare any game with Warcraft 3 (I played that a lot, made maps, played custom maps, etc) then no other game (exept maybe CS) would be close too achieving a score of 5 or higher in value, thus robbing every single non-mmorpg AAA title of its AAA value (prety much).
