In their day, they were. At this point though, it all feels pretty dated. This is coming from someone who played consistently through the ulduar patch and was one of the first (within the first month or so of the patch) to clear it with the exception of algalon.

I understand if you think that. But it's not like WoW has been steadily declining in acclaim and popularity as it aged.

PS. I take it you're not dying for Dec 7 @12:00 AM to comethen? :o I am. :D My character is currently logged off in Stormwind Harbor waiting for the new boat to Vash'jr to come.

Na, I don't plan on picking it up. I might log into a few vent servers and see how people are enjoying it, but that's it.

Yes, but the new stuff you're talking about is not what you're paying for when you buy the new expansion. I can have the standalone version I bought in 2004 and still see the stuff you're talking about.

Yeah, i've played the game, i was a mage, it was cool at first i liked how you upgraded your spells and all, however, after killing hundreds of rats or whatever those first enemies were and wandering in the mines i got incredible boring, i only got until level 14 i think, i even remember my last mission, it was to fill a bottle with some water from a lake or something, meh, i honestly don't know what people see with this game.

I am in the same boat as you. I am level 29 though. You start doing dungeons at level 15 but that still doesn't stop the game from being boring. All you do is grind and do these lame ass boring quest.(I mean there's PVP... meh) I am going to try and take it to 80 to see why so many people play this game but as of right now I don't get it. I find myself bored out of my mind ever few hours and quit for days or weeks at a time. I see people saying how they can get 80 in a week and I can't. I can't stand to play this game for more then a few minutes without getting mindboggling bored out of my mind.

WoW is the best game out right now (IMO), I'm extremely hyped to start leveling come 5pm CST, there is nothing like it.

Can someone explain something to me since I don't know World of Warcraft. My understanding is that this expansion pack changes the entire worlds landscape. My question is; what happens if you don't get it? Does your world not change? Can you not play with the people that bought Cataclysm if you haven't?

If you don't get it you can't access content above 80 (which would be Hyjal, Vashj'ir, Deepholm, Uldum, and Twilight Highlands.) You can't fly in Azeroth but you can in Outland/Northrend. You don't get Archeology and you can't do professions above the skill level of 450. You also can't make worgen and goblin. Everything else, like the low level content, has been available to everyone about 2 weeks ago. It's an absolute blast and a MUCH NEEDED makeover that's well done.

I was in the beta so I already saw this coming, but this content is so full of win. The art style in vashjir and deepholm is freaking awesome and the quests are majorly improved.
