Wow should go FTP...

[QUOTE="MonsieurX"]Wait until GW2AmazonTreeBoaI was going to say the same thing. It will drop a whole lot more once GW2 releases. Why is GW2 any different in this strange 8 year running fight to beat WoW's subscription and review scores any different from any of the many other promising MMOs before it? Including the first GW. You seem to forget that the expansion is coming in September and the only real reason the subs are down is because they've been hard at work on that.
Cata has had its ups and downs. the last raid instance was disappointing but this expansion had by far the hardest boss ever made ragnaros heroic. And many other things. Allthishate

LOOl what not even remotly close. Heroic spine needed Class stacking with legendary maces and rogues for the testicles it all came down to burst and perfect timing. Heroic rag required skill, timing.persetion coordination , skill and a darn lot of luck to kill it phase 3 is probably the most brutal phase ever made in the game. and this is taking muru into account. http://www.fallout-guild.co.uk/forum/portal.php guild account. we killed evry boss since tbc pre nerf including muru so i know what im talking about. http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/tarren-mill/Bubbafranks/simple my char played it since vanilla as resto shaman .Wait until GW2MonsieurX
They told me to wait for SW:TOR, Rift, TERA and many others I don't remember now. Truth is, that WoW will be a bad guy to take down.
Tbh, I love the Wow lore and seeing it go down like this makes me sad. It's one of the best games I've ever played. I hope that if Wow goes down, they replace it for a new Warcraft MMO.

You really MUST get into Phase 4 with one meteor. WhilstSpine has some tough healing, hard DPS requirements, dispel duty, and a lot of stuff to tank and kite.
Alone in the Darkness would like to have a word with you.I liked how Ulduar implemented its hard-modes, and they were pretty fun to do, I really don't like the settable difficulty settings that they've been using since TOC. And RF has made the feeling of progress non-existent.Vaasman

Execution is much more fun than gear-checks are, in fact gear-checks aren't even fun at all.

Sorry i dont understand how u can evn compare spine to rag . its not even comparable. Spine u need to have class stacking and chars with legendaries. u have 6 healers 1 to dispell. 2 tanks and 1 feral off tank that is kitty 95 percent of the time. U nuke the tenticle and thats about it kiting is nothing it comes down to practice. Rag u need to have 3 healers ( insane healing fight and its horrible for a rsto shaman ) u need to kite . make groups focus trigger explosions dodge stack wipe out fire. while the tank is getting batterd. not to mention at that time u only really had 2 legendaries while in spine u have 6-7 and 1 set of rogue legendaries not to mention the percentage buff. If u did rag on 10 heroic while this was in progression ( pre nerf ) it was faceroll for 10 man. for 25 man hc pre nerf when we killed it and got like world 100 or somthing stupid cuz it was that bloody hard it was by far the most painful hard boss ever made and that title was held by muru or to some extent litch kind (which we killed per nerf).I bet the same people saying Guild Wars 2 were saying it for Guild Wars 1 and all the other MMOs. You would think by now people would understand no MMO is taking out WoW.CanYouDigltThis only thing that has a chance is another blizzard developed mmo.

I find it funny when people dog on WoW over **** like this. Yes, they finally dropped under 10 MILLION PAYING SUBSCRIBERS after how many years now?
Let me ask you all something, how many active subscribers would say, CoD have if it charged $15 a month to play? Or BF3? Or Skyrim?
WoW is able to maintain these numbers because quite frankly, it's the best made, maintained, and polished game on the market. The number of fallen competitors in the MMO genre, along with it's overwhelming success is a testament to this.
This number will easily skyrocket back up to the mid 10 millions once MoP is released, and GW2 fails yet again to make a significant dent in the MMO market.
lol DOWN to 9.1 mil. Damn WoW is popular as hell. Any other MMO loses 1.1 subs and the game is dead instantly.FPSfan1985Not just dead, but with a negative subscription rate. :P Before WoW, Everquest was the king of MMOs with 500K subscribers, and at THAT time that was considered unbelievably high for an MMO. Second play was Dark Age of Camelot (which I heard was actually the better game) with 250K subscribers. Even at that time people were as mad as hell with SOE, they were screwing up the game, adding a bunch of extras with fees on top of fees (they had 'premium servers' that got updates fater than anyone else and had lots of exclusive content and better moderators, and were $40/monthly on top of the 10$/month you already had to paid for), they all jumped onto WoW without looking back, nor caring if WoW was going to have better content or not.
I hated healing that garbage, least fun healing I've ever had in the game. While HM Freya/Vezax (2 heals freya, 3 Vez, 10 (naxx gear)) were one of the most fun to heal.Execution is much more fun than gear-checks are, in fact gear-checks aren't even fun at all.
Inconsistancy
Well back then 10 man raiding was not legitimate, so you had some undertuned fights. Though Firefighter/No Lights were probably correctly tuned.

I am refering to these fights pre-nerfs. H-Spine was so overtuned that 2-3 weeks into DS, you had Blizzard nerfing Tendon heatths, Corruption healths and Blood healths.
You wont be able to down the tendons along with the grips with 6 healers. Its such a hard dps requirement that you need healers that can dps ie Disc Priests/Resto Shamans and still put out heals. Again this is without the nerfs and the debuff.
Well, World of Warcraft has been the #1 most popular and most played online game since 2005. Didn't they peak 13 million monthly subscribers? anyways, they are still the most popular paid game of all time, only being surpassed by free games like Angrybird, Farmville and other facebook/flash crap.

But that proves me point that fight was only a gear/class stacking check. it required no skill what so ever it was just practice practice practice and pray the tenticle does not grab your legendary range or legendary rogue. thats not hard thats just **** RNG and fail boss design your not supposed to need to stack 2 classes only. on the other hand Ragnaros required tight dps checks (with less legendaries at the time) coordination, execution , skill and a whole lot of raid awareness with the amount o **** going on. not to mention dealing with the mini add transition phases where u needed to be on the ball. sorry but in summery spine was a class stacking legendary rng fest. while ragnaros was actually hard with things to do not even in the same ball park of difficulty once the 5 percent buff came we literally 1 shotted it. while we had 300 + tries on ragnaros and just got over the line nuff said really.[QUOTE="Kell_the_Gamer"][QUOTE="FPSfan1985"]lol DOWN to 9.1 mil. Theres a new Battlechest retailing for $50 down here which will include Mists of Pandara with it and all past games.
That'll boost the users probaby

But you can say that about any fight. Practice, Practice, Practice. Stack FOTM classes and gg. Also that Rag nerf was not a mere 5% nerf, it was a huge nerf, it reduced the second phase probably by an entire seed phase, greatly reducing difficulty.

Well Diablo 3 is pretty much dead
stvee101
Really?
Of the 10 million people who bought the game, there are less than a thousand playing public games at any given time. As early as late June the game started reporting a major drop in the number of players playing. The game is desperate for several major patches that have yet to come, and pvp is still not in. I really don't think it's unfair to say "pretty much" dead.[QUOTE="stvee101"]

The game is really bad. Path of exile looks to take the place of diablo as aRPG king.Bound to happen after having no new content for months and months, and with the ease of WoW content and speed of the players clearing new content patch in a week what did the devs expect?

Funny all say it is so easy yet blizz said very small % got to see endgame, thats why they invented LFR :P
About time this crap started to fizzle out.charizard1605Nintendo would never be able to produce something like WoW.
i would consider going back but i would have to buy the 2 expansion is didn't play plus the new one.
if they ever figure out a way i don't have to shell out a ton of money to go back i would probably take up playing it again.
You just need to shop a little. In Canada, you can get the game and all 3 expansions (not the 4th) for 20 bucks if you shop at Bestbuy and Futureshop.i would consider going back but i would have to buy the 2 expansion is didn't play plus the new one.

[QUOTE="Kell_the_Gamer"]Maybe Diablo 3 is stealing some numbers because a lot of people just want to kill things with their friends, and would like to not pay a monthly fee to so it? :PInconsistancyI don't know about the rest of the world, but 100% of my friends have stopped playing Diablo3, and most of those same people 'left' WoW as well. Almost like D3 cured the WoW addiction, but left a sour taste in their mouth anyway. This, it's a ghost town now for me and a boring treck through the same content. they teased the idea of adding more endgame, but after how bad d3 was I'm not exactly waiting with baited breath on that
