Well surprisingly I got the game yesterday in the mail and I must say so far it's the best RPG of the year and a candidate for GOTY. I give it a 9.9.
"At the end of the day, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is an amazing game, one that ultimately lives up to its enormoushype, with only cons being the steep learning curve and some frustrating mini-games"
That review was pretty good, that quote there reminded me of Alpha Protocol for some reason hehe. I really enjoyed ALpha Protocol and only issues I had with it were some meh mini games and it had a steeep learning curve.
As much as I like Deus Ex and want it to be good, there's a little part of me that wants it to bomb just so I can say "Oh my God JC, a bomb!"
I hear a lot about The Deus Ex games but I've tried to get into the original but I just cannot. It's too much like Matrix and I despise matrix, especially the whole "Look, I am cool headed. I wear a coat and sunglasses"-attitude which every character got, it feels pretty corny to me. From the little I played of Deus Ex (1) was that it was the same.
So as much as this game is getting hyped, I simply do not see me getting it.
:(
What a shame.
Good. I have this game pre-ordered. I'm going to get the PS3 version so hopefully it isn't inferior to other versions.

Paul's nice, though, he isn't all Matrixy.
Please don't say that. Alpha Protocol was one of the most disappointing games I've played in a long time. I'm really looking forward to Deus Ex and I would be crushed if it was anything like that game."At the end of the day, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is an amazing game, one that ultimately lives up to its enormoushype, with only cons being the steep learning curve and some frustrating mini-games"

Hype increased? Oh i think so. Asides from all of the hype i haven't played a great game first day since L.A. Noire. My time is well past due to play another great release day title.
It's probably one of those "no reviews until release" type of deals..I was just about to ask where all the Deus Ex reviews are. The game comes out in like two days.
